Donated Medical Equipment Questions and Answers

Voting Question: Taking supplies to Africa, any ideas on places to look for grants, equipment, and other support?

My name is LeeAnna, and I am planning a trip to Africa after my high-school graduation, summer 2011, along with long time certified Oregon midwife, Sherry Dress. Our purpose for this trip is to take medical supplies to birthing facilities in the area and train their local midwifes in order to better equip them for their important job as medical providers for pregnant women and their babies. This will be Sherry's second trip to Africa, however it will be my first time assisting her. 6,150 women die in child birth every year in Kenya due to lack of education and equipment. In order to better fulfill our goals in lowering that number, Sherry and I are looking for supportive companies who can donate equipment that we can personally deliver to the midwives in Africa. Any ideas of companies, churches, or centers that would be ideal to send letters to requesting for support? Thanks. more

Resolved Question: Red cross teaching taliban fighters first aid, should we shut them down?

The Red Cross in Afghanistan has been teaching the Taliban basic first aid and giving them medical equipment to help fighters wounded in battles with NATO and Afghani forces. More than 70 members of the ''armed opposition'' received training in April, the Red Cross has said. The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) said it had offered its medical expertise because it was difficult for the wounded to get to hospitals because of battles, landmines and roadblocks, aid and comfort to the enemy. I will never donate to them again.http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/breaking-news/red-cross-teaches-first-aid-to-taliban/story-fn3dxity-1225871357493 Almost forgot the link more

Resolved Question: No easy answer. Part 1?

I'm a dreamer, I dream of a world that sucks a little bit less than this one. Hey I dont want one of those utiopas or anything because that would be boring and mother nature would kill us all because she hates boring. just a little bit better, a smidge even. Do you think its possible to have a world wide health service. Now before all the hardcore capitalist yanks jump up and start shouting commie at the top of there lungs I am positive you would still be able to make money off the suffering of others, Im just saying perhaps we could limit it to say 30% rather than say 300%. Any country could be a part of the health service as long as they donate a persentage of there GDP. yes some countries will be adding more to the pot but 5% of all your money is still 5 percent of ALL your money. It could be our first attempt at doing something as a planet instead of as a country. It would mean that no matter who you are or where you are in the ENITRE world you would have access to the best possible trained doctors and nurses and the best medical equipment and drugs.Things the world health service (WHS) could do would be to train everyone who was able first aid to atleast a high enough level to keep someone alive in most stituations till help can arrive. Accidents happen, its part of life but there should be no one who dose not know what to do incase of a heart attack, stroke or car accident. The way I see it what to come people think is a socialist idea is actually capitalist idea if you look it it this way. If you offer someone a free service so that they keep visiting your busisness are you a commie? If you keep people alive for longer they will work longer, spend more money at your busineess. think of the adverts. AT&T - keeping you alive for another 30 years, just incase the kids call. Imagine acitects, desiners and doctors given a blank check to desige a large and medium and a small hospital and to place as many as needed anywhere in the world. Now imagine all the money to be made building them and filling them with equipment and training and filling them with staff. now imagine the night sleep you will have knowing that you worked hard, you earned some good money and no matter what happens, all of your family, even members your didnt know you had will be looked after and get the drugs and test they need. more

Resolved Question: Is America Imperialist?

I say NO. We've done so much for the world and we've liberated so many. If we were imperialist, Iraq and Afghanistan would be a US territory now and Europe would not have the military they have now. Amount of American Government Aid in 2006: $23.53 Billion dollars – No country has donated higher than this in foreign aid. That was just one year; the actual number when all the years have been added up is much higher. Many democrats don’t tell us this, but the Bush Administration gave the most charity in American History, when compared to other administrations of the past. Amount of Private Sector Charity and Aid in 2006: $34.8 Billion dollars – The U.S. private sector completely out donates any other country’s private sector. The American private sector in short, donates the highest and no one comes close. The second highest nation in private sector donations, the United Kingdom, donates only $1.61 Billion dollars – which is no where close to our nation! Amount of Charity given to the OCED’s Development Assistance Committee in 2006: $75.1 Billion dollars – America donates to this committee more than any other nation. In fact, no nation comes close to America! The second highest came from Canada and Germany, who gave only $6.8 Billion dollars! The Development Assistance Committee helps poor nations develop and get stronger. Many countries donate to this committee, but none come close to the amount America gives to the developing world. How much of the U.N.’s budget is funded by America: 22%. – This money goes to the U.N.’s peace keeping forces through out the world in hotspots like Africa and Asia. Those peace keeping forces give out humanitarian aid and protect many of the people from harm. No other nation pays more than the U.S. when it comes to funding the U.N. American Medical and Science Research that helps the world: America leads the world in both cancer and AIDs/HIV research. America also leads the world in medical treatment and training. America also leads the world in medical equipment and medicine! The amazing thing is that America shares all of this technology and research with her allies and the poor nations of the earth! This technology goes to the U.N. and is used everyday to save many lives. Who was there first when disaster came? : America has always been the first nation to send humanitarian aid over to nations who have dealt with natural disasters and conflicts. When the tsunamis’ of 2004 hit the coasts of South East Asia, America was the first to send help. It was also the nation that sent the most humanitarian aid! When the country of Georgia was invaded by Russia, America was the only nation to arrive with help. Does that sound like an evil, imperialist nation to you? The Marshall Plan or the ERP (European Recovery Program): After the chaos of World War two, Europe was left shattered in ruins. Many of the allied nations, such as Britian and France, were left devastated by the affects of constant bombing. The European continent was calling for American assistance, because the debt of the war left them with almost no money. The fear was that the Soviet Union would conquer the weakened nations, or convert them to communism through rebels instigating class warfare in the battered nations. The simple idea of the ERP was to help the European nations rebuild their countries. In short – America gave Europe $12,721 million dollars. The money given to Europe helped jump start the successful rebuilding of the European continent. With nations in Western Europe having less stress on their economy, the influence of communism fell and eventually faded away. We changed the tide of war in ww1 and made the damn war end earlier. We won ww2, if we did not enter the pacific would be japan's and communism would've ingulfed europe... we liberated South Korea, Germany, Italy, France, Belgium, Netherlands, Lithuania, Denmark, Iraq, Afghanistan, Morocco, Kuwait, Tunisia, and Grenada. more

Resolved Question: Am I ready for a horse of my own?

I am 13 and I have been volunteering at my local stable for a year and I have been going to my friend’s ranch since I was 8. At the stable, I have turned horses in and out, cleaned their water buckets, cleaned the feed rooms, exercised horses, and groomed horses. At my friend’s ranch, I have cleaned stalls, feed and watered her horses, cleaned their water buckets, taken the horses in and out, taken her miniature horses on a trail walk, talked to her Ferrier and vet, ridden her horses, and started training one of her rescue horses who has made a great deal of progress. I know that owning a horse costs money and is a huge responsibility. My mom has a second job at an after school care place and she said if I help her out after school for two hours I can get half of her pay. By the end of the month, I will have enough money to pay my friend for letting me keep my horse there. I will also have my allowance ($80) and my lunch money that I don’t use ($100). The only reason I wouldn’t keep my horse at my local stable is because I don’t really agree with the way the barn is run… (They take all the fun out of horses). I am looking to adopt a rescue horse (http://www.equineadoption.com/order.htm) and later on show my horse in 4h. My friend’s barn is full at the moment because she only has three stalls. So, my horse could use the lean-to once we build a sliding door on the end of it (pictures below). I know I will need a lot of equipment like grooming, tack, helmet, boots, first aid kit, food and water buckets, deworming medication, and money for floating&vaccinations and incase of colic or any other medical problems. So far I have a my grooming kit, a saddle and saddle pad, shampoo, a lead rope and lunge line, all of the Parelli training tools apart from the bridle system, halter and hackamore, bareback pad, boots, helmet, and the Parelli DVDs. I need to but yet a winter blanket, fly spray, fly mask, first aid kit, a halter, cross-ties, hackamore, bridle, and deworming medication. Once I get my horse, I am going to get insurance on my horse so if something happens, a percent of the cost will be cut. I am also going to buy a round pen, seeing how my friend has always wanted one and I could use it too. I will be able to go out to my friend’s ranch every Friday and Saturday and sometimes during the week once summer arrives. On the days I am there I will be cleaning the stalls and training/ riding. I have not taken any riding lessons except for the ones from my friend but I am not that into riding. I rather just have a pasture pal than a show horse. I am planning on going to college though. For college, I am looking at going to the University of Wisconsin which has a stable there for me to keep my horse at. Do you think I am ready for a horse of my own? ~pictures~ Kathy’s Barn http://s232.photobucket.com/albums/ee172/blackjack3296/?action=view&current=barn.jpg Kathy’s Barn2 http://s232.photobucket.com/albums/ee172/blackjack3296/?action=view&current=barn2.jpg The Lean-to http://s232.photobucket.com/albums/ee172/blackjack3296/?action=view&current=barn3.jpg Black Jack (the rescue horse that I began to train) and Rocket (another rescue horse that Kathy donated to a family) http://s232.photobucket.com/albums/ee172/blackjack3296/?action=view&current=100_1144.jpg Black Jack and I (from two years ago) http://i232.photobucket.com/albums/ee172/blackjack3296/BlackJack074.jpg Thanks ahead of time:) Sorry if it was really long...I have already co-owned a horse with someone and then they had to sell the horse and at the time I was 9 and less experienced so I could not but that horse fully. I was heartbroken and I really don't want to have to go through that again... and neither do my parents:)I understand the basic costs of horses and by the time I will be getting mine, I will have $3,000 saved up. My parents said I can get a hrose only if I pay for it myself but I would like to know if I am ready to get one before I jump in way over my head:) more

Resolved Question: The Palestinian Arabs are presented by media as “poor victims of israeli occupation”.Is it so? ?

Under Israeli “occupation”: In 1967-1986,under the “cruel israeli occupation”, the GDP of the Palestinian Arabs grew by 13% per year. Earnings per capita of the Palestinian Arabs grew 10 times. Unemployment fell from 40% in 1967 to 5% in 1980. Israel built for the Palestinian Arabs 6 Universities(in 1967 there was none) and 20 colleges. The level of illiteracy fell from 50% in 1967 to 30% in 1980. Israel built 166 clinics and supplied them with the most modern medical equipment. The level of mortality fell 3 times. Israel built the system of canalisation, electricity and water-supplying system which the palestinian Arabs go on using now. Under Arafat`s rule: In 1992-1996 the earnings of the palestinian Arabs on the territories controlled by Arafat fell 35%. Unemployment grew 20% in Gaza and 18% in the West Bank. The corruption reached the unprecedented levels. In 1994-1997 European Contries donated 1.5 BILLION $ to the economy of Arafat`s controlled part of Palestine.USA donated another 500 million $.Israel gave to Arafat 90 million $.All in all,Arafat got 2.1 BILLION $ in just 3 years. But in 1997 40% of the budget of the PA misterously disappered ,and nobody found the money until now. Under Hamas:no comments. It´s just a total and complete economical and political desaster. Maybe the Arabs should ask Israel "to occupy "them again?I don´t think Israel would agree to occupy such a bunch of lazy-bones and bandits who have gone nuts on killings and murder, but after all,it would be worth trying?And-who knows?Maybe after 10 or 15 years of being under Israeli "occupation",the arabs will start to resemble humans, and not a blood-thirsty savages who run about the world with Quran in one hairy paw and "Kalashnikov" in another? more

Resolved Question: Why do so many countries hate the US?

We do so much for other countries. We have open our hearts and our pocketbooks to donate billions of our dollars to help other countries in need. We have donated our time to help the poor. I know of a group in my area that sent 365 dentists and doctors to Peru to help the poor- get medical attention. I know of a group in my area that sends retired fire-rescue equipment to Nicaragua. I know of yet another group that collects donated shoes to give to the people of Africa. Now we are donating rice to India. We've been there to help other catastrophes like help rebuild after the tsunami. We've helped Colombia financially fight the guerillas. The US is composed of people from around the world. You know what an American is? YOU! Yes, because we have people here from every country. If they hate us so much, why do they stay? They work here, then send money to their families in whatever country they are in. The US economy falls, and now every country is feeling it. So why hate us? What's the deal? No, I'm not getting my information from the media. I'm getting my information from people I chat with online, and from people's posts on Yahoogroups. The corrupt Colombian government?? Please don't talk without facts. President Uribe has done a great job of getting rid of the corruption.Otto..please tell me which country doesn't have a corrupt government? If you believe that your government isn't corrupt, you are not worth debating with. I will tell you that Colombia nowadays is a different country, and if you have not visited it, or talked to it's people, do not give your media bias opinion. If sweat shops didn't exist, how would these people be living? I would rather make 10 cents an hour and buy a grain of rice, then not make any money at all and starve to death. If they are really unhappy with their working condition, they can find another job, but they can't. Either because they are not educated enough, or simply because they are no other jobs for them. This is not the US fault. This is the country they live in's fault for allowing it to happen.SHEA, and you have an avatar of Che Guevara. Why don't you do some research on the man, and find out what a murderer he was. You disgust me! more

Resolved Question: Did anybody see the list of extras added to the $700 billion Wall Street bail out?

Remember when that bail out plan kept going back and forth, back and forth and THEN got signed? Hmmmm....... did anybody see all the "extra" stuff attached to it? You know the old saying "scratch my back ...."? Isn't it amazing how much other stuff gets tacked on to a bill that we only know the title of -- granted some of this is necessary and helpful, but come on: Children's wooden arrows, rum excise tax revenues to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands; and does THIS sound fair: Accelerated depreciation for property used mostly on an Indian reservation? More on the Bill Apart from the Troubled Assets Relief Program, the bill before the Senate includes: * Extensions of the AMT patch, tax deductions on state and local sales taxes, tuition, teacher expenses and real property taxes and tax credits for business research and new market investors * Energy tax credits and incentives to encourage wind and refined coal production, new biomass facilities, wave and tide electricity generators, solar energy property improvements, CO2 capturing, plug-in electric drive vehicles, idling reduction units on truck engines, cellulosic biofuels ethanol production, energy efficient houses, offices, dishwashers, clothes washers and refrigerators, and fringe benefits for employees commuting by bicycle. * A requirement for private insurance plans to offer mental health benefits on par with medical-surgical benefits * Tax relief provisions for victims of this summer's Midwestern floods, and Hurricane Ike * Freezing of deductions for sale and exchange of oil and natural gas, mandatory basis reporting by brokers for transactions involving publicly traded securities and an extension of the oil spill tax But it also extends the following tax provisions: * Economic development credit to American Samoan businesses * $10,000 tax credit for training of mine rescue team members * 50% immediate expensing for extra underground mine safety equipment * Tax credit for businesses with employees from an Indian reservation * Accelerated depreciation for property used mostly on an Indian reservation * 50% tax credit for some expenditures on maintaining railroad tracks * 7-year recovery period for motorsports racetrack property * Expensing of cleaning up "brownfield" contaminated sites * Enhanced deductions for businesses donating computers and books to schools, and for food donations * Deduction for income from domestic production in Puerto Rico * Tax credit for employees in Hurricane Katrina disaster area * Tax incentives for investments in poor neighborhoods in D.C. * Increased rehabilitation credit for buildings in Gulf area * Reduction of import duties on some imported wool fabrics, transfers other duties to Wool Trust Fund to promote competitiveness of American wool * Special expensing rules for film and TV productions And there's more: * Increasing cover of rum excise tax revenues to Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands * Making it easier for film and TV companies to use deduction for domestic production * Exempting children's wooden arrows from excise tax * Income averaging for Exxon Valdez litigants for tax purposes  more

Resolved Question: Many think God's intervention can revive the dying?

By LINDSEY TANNER – 1 day ago CHICAGO (AP) — When it comes to saving lives, God trumps doctors for many Americans. An eye-opening survey reveals widespread belief that divine intervention can revive dying patients. And, researchers said, doctors "need to be prepared to deal with families who are waiting for a miracle." More than half of randomly surveyed adults — 57 percent — said God's intervention could save a family member even if physicians declared treatment would be futile. And nearly three-quarters said patients have a right to demand such treatment. When asked to imagine their own relatives being gravely ill or injured, nearly 20 percent of doctors and other medical workers said God could reverse a hopeless outcome. "Sensitivity to this belief will promote development of a trusting relationship" with patients and their families, according to researchers. That trust, they said, is needed to help doctors explain objective, overwhelming scientific evidence showing that continued treatment would be worthless. Pat Loder, a Milford, Mich., woman whose two young children were killed in a 1991 car crash, said she clung to a belief that God would intervene when things looked hopeless. "When you're a parent and you're standing over the body of your child who you think is dying ... you have to have that" belief, Loder said. While doctors should be prepared to deal with those beliefs, they also shouldn't "sugarcoat" the truth about a patient's condition, Loder said. Being honest in a sensitive way helps family members make excruciating decisions about whether to let dying patients linger, or allow doctors to turn off life-prolonging equipment so that organs can be donated, Loder said. Loder was driving when a speeding motorcycle slammed into the family's car. Both children were rushed unconscious to hospitals, and Loder says she believes doctors did everything they could. They were not able to revive her 5-year-old son; soon after her 8-year-old daughter was declared brain dead. She said her beliefs about divine intervention have changed. "I have become more of a realist," she said. "I know that none of us are immune from anything." Loder was not involved in the survey, which appears in Monday's Archives of Surgery. It involved 1,000 U.S. adults randomly selected to answer questions by telephone about their views on end-of-life medical care. They were surveyed in 2005, along with 774 doctors, nurses and other medical workers who responded to mailed questions. Survey questions mostly dealt with untimely deaths from trauma such as accidents and violence. These deaths are often particularly tough on relatives because they are more unexpected than deaths from lingering illnesses such as cancer, and the patients tend to be younger. Dr. Lenworth Jacobs, a University of Connecticut surgery professor and trauma chief at Hartford Hospital, was the lead author. He said trauma treatment advances have allowed patients who previously would have died at the scene to survive longer. That shift means hospital trauma specialists "are much more heavily engaged in the death process," he said. Jacobs said he frequently meets people who think God will save their dying loved one and who want medical procedures to continue. "You can't say, 'That's nonsense.' You have to respect that" and try to show them X-rays, CAT scans and other medical evidence indicating death is imminent, he said. Relatives need to know that "it's not that you don't want a miracle to happen, it's just that is not going to happen today with this patient," he said. Families occasionally persist and hospitals have gone to court seeking to stop medical treatment doctors believe is futile, but such cases are quite rare. Dr. Michael Sise, trauma medical director at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, called the study "a great contribution" to one of the most intense issues doctors face. Sise, a Catholic doctor working in a Catholic hospital, said miracles don't happen when medical evidence shows death is near. "That's just not a realistic situation," he said. Sise recalled a teenager severely injured in a gang beating who died soon afterward at his hospital. The mother "absolutely did not want to withdraw" medical equipment despite the severity of her child's brain injuries, which ensured the child would never wake up, Sise said. "The mom was playing religious tapes in the room, and obviously was very focused on looking for a miracle." Claudia McCormick, a nurse and trauma program director at Duke University Hospital, said she also has never seen that kind of miracle. But her niece's recovery after being hit by a boat while inner-tubing earlier this year came close. The boat backed into her and its propeller "caught her in the side of the head. She had no pulse when they pulled her out of the water," McCormick said. Doctors at the hospital where she was airlifted said "it really d**Continue** doesn't look good." And while it never reached the point where withdrawing lifesaving equipment was discussed, McCormick recalled one of her doctors saying later: '"God has plans for this child. I never thought she'd be here.'" Like many hospitals, Duke uses a team approach to help relatives deal with dying trauma victims, enlisting social workers, grief counselors and chaplains to work with doctors and nurses. If the family still says, "We just can't shut that machine off, then, you know what, we can't shut that machine off," McCormick said. "Sometimes," she said, "you might have a family that's having a hard time and it might take another day, and that's OK."Source: http://ap.google.com/article/ALeqM5jJwNamFOQ5Q-hju9AzNVjYDrXs7QD92L35GG0 more

Resolved Question: Who would like to know more?

For the average person a trip to the SD Oglala Sioux is not in your future but about 20 years ago I worked on 3 reservations because they bought GE medical equipment and I worked for GE. With all these folks in Hollywood doing the VOGUE thing, visiting other countries, adopting children from other countries etc. I think it would be nice if they visited the reservations in South Dakota (The fly over state) to see the conditions. Its been 20 for me so I hope it has improved. Pine Ridge was bad, Eagle Butte next and Rosebud got some attention. I would like to see them (hollywood) do the next vogue thing and donate to the Sioux out there. Do your homework and find out for yourselves what America did in the early years and recently and how proud these people are. THEY DO NOT WHINE THAT THE BAR WAS ALWAYS MOVED HIGHER BECAUSE OF THEIR RACE. They are the true Americans and we took everything! cheers more

Resolved Question: This seems to be the conservative's answer for improving the environment! Well, they finally have a good idea!

CONCORD, N.H. - Since they first walked the planet, humans have either buried or burned their dead. Now a new option is generating interest - dissolving bodies in lye and flushing the brownish, syrupy residue down the drain. The process is called alkaline hydrolysis and was developed in this country 16 years ago to get rid of animal carcasses. It uses lye, extreme heat and pressure to destroy bodies in big stainless-steel cylinders that are similar to pressure cookers. No funeral homes in the U.S. - or anywhere else in the world, as far as the equipment manufacturer knows - offer it. In fact, only two U.S. medical centres use it on human bodies, and only on cadavers donated for research. But because of its environmental advantages, some in the funeral industry say it could someday rival burial and cremation. Resolved Question: Are there any organizations that donate money to purchase medical equipment for third world countries?

I'm looking to provide mobile clinics to groups that provide medical services in third world countries, especially in Africa. Most of these organizations do not have the resources to purchase these units, so I'm trying to find organizations that are willing to donate the money necessary to help. Foundations do not fund for just medical equipment, but want there to be some type of extensive research project attached to the equipment before they are willing to help. more

Resolved Question: Is there an organization that you can donate used medical equipment to?

I have small medical devices, like a brace, leg stabilizer, things of that nature and I know there is an organization that would except them and recondition them for people in other countries to use. Countries that don't have as good medical as the states. I hate to throw them out if someone else can benefit from them. more

Resolved Question: Case Study bout Accounting!!! Help!!!?

Case study “The Rock” is an established outdoor activity camp specially aimed at children between the ages of 10 – 16. The Camp is operated by the Local Council at Barryville – a small town located very close to the beach and with access to mountain trails for hiking and bike riding. There are many business “transactions” that occur at “The Rock”. Three are given below: Transaction 1: A child attending the camp suffered an injury. “The Rock” paid $9,000 for the child’s medical care as the camp had no insurance. The owners of the camp now wish to take out insurance to avoid such a large payout in the future. The owners presently have a number of quotes, the cheapest being $2,000. This is in the form of an invoice from “Insure Your Camp Pty Ltd”. Transaction 2: “The Rock” donated some old equipment (which was said to be worth $4,000) to the local charity for homeless youth. Transaction 3: The father of a child attending “The Rock” is a medical practitioner. “The Rock” allows this child to attend camp in return for the father’s serving part-time in the camp sick bay for one week. The standard fee for a camp term is $1,000. The doctor’s salary for this part-time work would be $1,000. Specific Requirements: Transaction 1: The owners have recorded $2,000 as a debit to Insurance and a credit to “Insure Your Camp Pty-Ltd” Explain whether or not this is correct, and why. Transaction 2: Explain how (or if) the Camp should account for this situation and why. Transaction 3: Explain how (or if) Camp Ormond should account for this arrangement, and why. General Requirements: Use the language of The Framework to base your decisions. more

Resolved Question: Why don't UK Celebrities...?

Support your UNITED Kingdom Troops by having a concert in aid of UK troops on the ground in Afghanistan and Iraq (similar to the magnificent Live Aid concert many years before today's technological advances...), and from the money raised, purchase such neccessary equipment such as portacabins for troops to sleep in instead of tents, along with other desperately needed equipment - including more troops on the ground? Whilst the troops do appreciate concerts put on for them there in a conflict zone, the costs that would be saved from having extra security and transportation laid on for these celebrities could be donated, or given in logistical help or desperately needed equipment in such a war zone. Instead of the celebrities going into a conflict zone and tying up numerous troops on the ground by them having to protect the celebrities, the money saved could purchase a purpose-built dutch-barn gymnasium structure which could then be constructed by Army engineers there in Afghanistan, which could be used as a venue for to watch a celebrity concert live on a huge screen in a link-up.. - similar to Live Aid which was produced long beofre today's modern technology and was a huge success! The gym could also be used as a cinema, 10-pin bowling and other entertainments including video-conferences, laid on there for the benefit of the under-manned and under-resourced UK troops on the ground in Afghanistan. Meanwhile, back in the UK, a similar studio type building could be constructed which could also be used for training recruits and giving them a flavour or experience of reality of a conflict zone by having the actual troops on the ground demonstrating from the dutch-barn making full use of todays' technology. Oh, as a logical after thought, VIP's could also make use of this system, a saving of.. medical equipment/machinery, cookhouse equipment etc The list is endless. more
