Resolved Question: What do you think about the legal Herbal Incense known as Spice, K2, ect...?
Here is an interesting article I found feel free to read it, and give me your opinions. Don't criminalize 'K2,' regulate it The recent emergence in the United States of "K2," sometimes called synthetic marijuana, is testing lawmakers to see if they've been paying attention to the failures of marijuana prohibition and will respond to K2 with enlightened policy. The first stories on K2, or "Spice," broke out with headlines labeling the mixture of herbs and spices, which are treated with a synthetic compound, as "fake pot." K2 was virtually unknown until the media hyped up its presence at tobacco and novelty shops. Under U.S. law, and in all 50 states, the herbal product is legal, and also unregulated. People who have tried K2 often report psychoactive effects that are comparable to marijuana, but notably less pleasurable. When lawmakers consider regulating K2, they should keep in mind that the government has waged a futile war against marijuana and people who use the drug for decades. For another opinion, click here Elected officials have burned through billions of taxpayer dollars chasing marijuana sellers, bagging marijuana plants and jailing marijuana users. Government-funded media campaigns have sought to scare children and adults away from marijuana with grossly exaggerated claims that using the drug will lead to death and mayhem. Despite all of these efforts, the public has largely dismissed the myths and hysteria around marijuana and recognized that the drug has important medicinal benefits. Moreover, public opinion is leaning in favor of a regulated and taxed market for marijuana. Researchers who have tested K2 identified synthetic chemicals that are thought to mimic the psychoactive component in marijuana. These chemicals are thought to act on the cannabinoid receptors in the brain much the way that THC -- the principal psychoactive component in marijuana -- operates. What's notable about these synthetic chemicals is that very little is known about them, and this legal alternative designed to deliver an experience like marijuana may actually carry more risk. Thus we have a supreme irony of drug prohibition: The government continues to criminalize marijuana -- a drug with established medical value that has undergone exhaustive study -- and entrepreneurs introduce a legal alternative to marijuana with ingredients scientists know little about. Given this potential for harm, and the growing volume of sensational media portrayals of K2, some lawmakers have ignored the lessons learned from marijuana prohibition and moved to criminalize possession and sales of K2. Lawmakers in Kansas, Kentucky and Missouri have already written legislation to ban the herbal mix. It seems that a reporter need only write an article about an obscure bag of twigs to spur a lawmaker to criminalize more chemicals and the people who use them. Time and time again, elected officials have dropped the ball when it comes to regulating drugs. Lawmakers have preferred to lazily pass the responsibility of controlling a drug on to law enforcement and the criminal justice system. The problem is, we know from marijuana prohibition that law enforcement has no control over the drug market and the criminals who run it. Criminalizing K2 will only worsen the devastating harm our society already suffers under drug prohibition. Rather than regulation of the supply and ingredients of K2, criminalization leaves the question of what goes into the product up to drug dealers. Rather than passing regulations that bar K2 sales to minors, criminalizing K2 will essentially give dealers the green light to sell the product to whomever they please. By choosing to ban K2 outright, lawmakers will also forfeit badly needed state revenue from K2 sales and instead commit millions of taxpayer dollars to investigate, prosecute and jail K2 users. Plus, researchers point out that hundreds of other known synthetic chemicals will easily reach store shelves once K2 is banned. The sensible legislative response to K2 is to create effective regulatory controls on sale and possession. California and Maine have passed model legislation that formally regulates and taxes adult sales of salvia divinorium -- another product with psychoactive properties -- and criminalizes salvia sales to minors. Lawmakers should deliver a knockout to prohibition and pass laws that will actually regulate and control K2. By Grant Smith, Special to CNNMarch 3, 2010 3:32 p.m. EST This artice is a few months old, and I am aware that Spice is not legal in all 50 states anymore. moreResolved Question: What are your thoughts on the legal herbal incenses aka Spice, K2....?

I have a disability, spina bifida, and use a wheelchair, and ive basically never had a job. due to various things. some my fault, some out of my control. but now, im looking for something, ive basically had enough of not getting something out of life and not feeling a sense of purpose. like many people with disabilities, but due to the disability and never having worked i feel like i need to sort of prove to employers, and myself, that im capable of doing the kind of thing id like to try to get into. I recently decided a good area to work in would be something to do with medical/disability products/equipment/supplies/aids etc as, like i said im disabled myself, but obviosuly not on the medical side of things, it would be in a non degree requiring role. im thinking more on the sales, or storage and supplies side at my local hospital or something. and when i say medical supplies i dont just mean medical, i mean anything and everything you might find in a hospital. i found myself, last time i was on a hospital visit, looking at all the different things in the hospital, its a huge range of stuff, and i think it would be an interesting, varied job to work in that area. but as i i said because ive not had a job i feel the need to first show employers and myself that im capable, but the thing is, im 35 now, i just cant help thinking its a bit late for voluntary or work experience. would the NHS or anything like that be prepared to allow me to do something like voluntary or work experience as a way in? im more than prepared to to prove myself. moreResolved Question: Computer users, have you blood on your hands?
FROM:http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/worldnews/article-1282481/iPad-factory-suicides-China.html Something rotten at Apple's core? Shocking toll of suicides at iPad factory in China revealed By RICHARD JONES in Shenzhen Last updated at 10:16 PM on 29th May 2010 * Comments (135) * Add to My Stories As the iPad is launched in Britain, a special investigation now reveals the full shocking toll of suicides at its Chinese factory A once pretty 17-year-old lies crippled in a hospital bed two miles from the factory where she worked long, tedious hours checking the screens of Apple iPads for tiny flaws. Her parents brood silently at her bedside. At 8am one morning in March - just 40 days after she began her first job at Apple's main supplier, Foxconn, in southern China - Tian Yu took the decision to leap from her fourth-floor dormitory rather than take her place on the production line. Tian survived but must wonder if she would not have been better off dead. After two weeks in a coma, she woke to find herself paralysed from the waist down, unable to sit up by herself and suffering from fractures and liver and spleen damage. ipad She has been tortured by the slow realisation that she will soon be pathetically dependent on the very parents - poor farmers from rural China - she came to the city hoping to support. For now, Foxconn, which employs 400,000 young people at the huge factory sprawl where Apple's worldbeating electronics are made, pays Tian's medical bills but her long-term future is uncertain. 'We've been told to say nothing,' her parents mutter apologetically. 'If we speak to you, Foxconn will stop paying her medical expenses.' Nor are Tian and her family alone in their agony. It is an anguish shared by 11 other families of workers who since January have all tried to kill themselves by jumping from factory buildings. Ten have succeeded. A 23-year-old man jumped to his death last Wednesday night. Clearly, it must raise the question of whether something is rotten at Apple's manufacturing core. These tragedies are in stark contrast to the more familiar Apple success story. When the iPad went on sale in America last month, sales exceeded all expectations, reaching one million units in 28 days - twice as fast as the iPhone and forcing Apple to delay the UK launch. In the first three months of 2010, Apple sold nearly three million computers, 11 million iPods and nine million iPhones. It made £2billion ($2.89 billion) profit in the first quarter this year and is expected to take £41billion ($60billion) in sales. More... * iPad frenzy: First Apple fans get their hands on touchscreen tablets as doors finally open * Thousands go iMad for Apple's new iPad... but not all of them will get one as supplies are rationed * Apple takes a bite out of Microsoft to become world's biggest tech company Apple's Taiwanese subcontractor Foxconn is operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to try to keep up with orders. But can that pressure alone account for the suicides? Some blame the harsh working conditions imposed by Foxconn for the deaths - conditions first exposed four years ago by a Mail on Sunday article which prompted an investigation by Apple. The company found there were 'a number of areas for improvement'. Some blame a kind of mass hysteria spreading among the mostly young workers. Others accuse modern China's spiritual void. And it has been pointed out that in communist China, suicide is considered a crime against the state, so it is the ultimate form of protest. The deaths have become so regular that bloggers have nicknamed the factories in the city of Shenzhen the Foxconn Suicide Express, while managers have set up a suicide hotline and even hired monks to exorcise evil spirits. The family of 18-year-old Ma Diangqian, who joined Foxconn last November and fell to his death from his dormitory on January 23, have no patience for the talk of evil spirits, hysteria or spiritual voids. They say they saw a bright young man humiliated by Foxconn's notoriously tough regime within just two months of following his sister, Ma Liqun, to work in one of the two citysize Shenzhen factory complexes. ipad In touch: Shoppers buying the first Apple iPads in New York last month In the weeks leading up to his death, he confided in Ma Liqun that he had faced repeated criticism after breaking two drill parts. He was taken off the production line and put on lavatory-cleaning duty. 'He was very upset,' says Ma Liqun. 'He told me that cleaning lavatories gave him no dignity and made him lose face. Sometimes he was given no gloves but he had to clean the lavatories all the same.' His father Ma Zishan, 58, says tearfully: 'He called me in January. I could tell he was lonely and unhappy. I told him to stick it out until ChinesSorry, the second half of this article has gone missing. It does go onto say that HP and others use this company, not only Apple. I need to promote four (4) specialized products and I require advice from people with experience in online marketing and those people that are responsible for the area of promotion, marketing or sales of travel agencies and tourism companies that offer survival courses and cruises. This company is located in Iquitos, an exotic city in the middle of the Peruvian Amazon, one of the least explored and most bio-diverse area in the world. The products I have to help to promote are: 1. Training courses on survival in the Amazon jungle, for companies or adventure travelers. 2. Visits to remote indigenous communities that preserve their customs, for anyone interested. 3. Research or study trips in the Peruvian Amazon, for researchers, students and anyone interested. 4. Travel by river cruises along the Amazon river and tributaries or cruises in Pacaya-Samiria National Reserve (the largest reserve in the floodable Amazon jungle in South America). These are quality products. The company respect and teach the travelers to respect the nature. They take medical help or supplies to river communities and indigenous tribes they visit. Trips are designed to understand the nature and their ecosystems. This company works with professional and specialized staff as naturalists and, in case of survival training courses, with instructors of the Air Force. The company weakness is the international promotion and that is my challenge. I have had successful experiences in promoting hotels. But I never promoted this type of product. Therefore, I have several questions: A. Where or in what ways should I promote these four products? B. What websites, especially free of charge, you known to promote these products? In hotels, for example, there are sites like Tripadvisor and others. C. Do you know websites and forums that are focused on "selling" the four travel products I have? D. What social networks focused on these products are available? I know that there are Facebook, Twiter, Flirck, but, do you know any social network for adventure travelers or interested in this kind of trips? E. I was considering using the Lonely Planet, Viajeros and Losviajeros forums. Do you know others forums or specialized forums? Regardless of language. F. Does anyone could help me with the contact details of publishers of travel guides (Lonely, Frommers, Footprints, etc.)? G. I was thinking in contact with TV and film producers or film makers to promote the services of the company and be a strategic partners for films in the Amazon. Where and how I may contact with big producers companies as Discovery, NatGeo, BBC, etc., and with small producers? Do you have any other recommendation? moreResolved Question: If the healthcare bill is so great, then why is there a 2.3% excise tax on things like defibulators?
Full of surprises this health care bill is. How can libs defend it, when its going to cost jobs??? http://www.boston.com/business/taxes/articles/2010/06/07/medical_device_makers_new_tax_will_cost_jobs/ Medical device manufacturers are bristling over a key provision in the nation's new health care law which they say forces them to shoulder an unfair cost of expanded insurance coverage. A 2.3 percent excise tax on companies that supply medical devices like heart defibrillators and surgical tools to hospitals, health centers and ambulance services will cost medical device manufacturers an estimated $20 billion in new taxes over the next decade. And they say that will force them to lay off workers and curb the research and development of new medical tools. "Many small to midsize medical device companies will owe more to the federal government in taxes than they make in profits," said Mark Leahy of the Medical Device Manufacturers Association. "We're talking about a 2.3 percent tax on total sales irrespective of whether a company is making a profit." moreResolved Question: Does Hand Sanitizer Really Work for Business Promotion.?

Isn't this article a MOST EXCELLENT demonstration of how criminalization of drugs makes them MORE PROFITABLE for those willing to sell them?? The war on drugs and frequent raids by federal drug agents have helped support the local economy — keeping prices for street sales of pot high and keeping profits rich. But high times are changing. Legal pot, under the guise of the California's medical marijuana laws, has spurred a rush of new competition. As a result, the wholesale price of pot grown in these areas is plunging. Demand Not Meeting Supply In 1983, the Reagan administration launched a massive air and ground campaign to eradicate pot and lock up growers in northern California. Charley Custer, a writer and community activist, had just arrived to Humboldt County from Chicago. With the Reagan crackdown, Custer recalls, wholesale prices shot up — to as high as $5,000 a pound. That sudden and ironic windfall for those growers willing to risk prison time transformed the community. moreResolved Question: a few True or False and fill in the blank Economics questions. 10 points to best answer!?

I'm a sophomore in the Confirmation class at a Catholic church. While at the classes, I thought it would be good idea to have a massive rummage sale, asking my classmates and the parish to donate the items needed for it. But this isn't just an ordinary rummage sale. After the rummage sale, I'm going to send all the money to Haiti victims. I'll also be donating any unsold items (such as clothes) to the victims as well. However, I have no idea how to get the money to them. I also don't know if they will be wanting clothes since their main focus would be cleaning up and medical supplies (which the money would come in handy for). Can someone please help me out, and suggest ways to send all the money (and maybe clothes) to the victims of Haiti? Families separated by miles, years and immigration laws Immigration rules for close relatives to be re-examined By Antonio Olivo Tribune reporter December 27, 2009 When Peter Aldeza first arrived in Illinois from the Philippines, he filed U.S. Immigration paperwork to allow his older brother and sister to join him. That was 26 years ago. Just last month, his sister, Sionie Sales, finally arrived to live in the U.S., in what has been a bittersweet reunion of once-close siblings now trying to become reacquainted. She was an exuberant 26-year-old when he left home. She is a grandmother now. "It has been very interesting and very fulfilling," said Aldeza, 48, his voice cracking with emotion. "She's a lot older, but very much the same." Their story embodies the experience of thousands of families waiting on a legal Immigration process bogged down by delays, a frustration that lies at the heart of renewed efforts to reform the U.S. Immigration system. A bill introduced in Congress by Democratic lawmakers this month seeks a "promotion of family unity" by placing a high priority on eliminating backlogs for legal Immigration -- which activists say contribute to the country's problems with illegal Immigration. They say some prospective immigrants, frustrated by the delays, find a way into the country illegally. Among the changes proposed under the bill is a provision to exempt immediate relatives from the annual cap on immigrant visas for a given country. That would have the effect of speeding up the process for everyone else in line. Conservative groups seeking to limit all forms of Immigration have long opposed family pipelines, arguing that letting more people into the U.S. would place extra burdens on schools and other infrastructure. For Sales, 52, the process began when she was a young nursing student eager to leave her poverty-stricken island in the Southeast Pacific Ocean to be with her younger brother in the U.S. The two share fond childhood memories of swimming in the hot springs near their home in the outskirts of Manila, venturing into the capital as young adults and, above all, teaming up in playful fights against their older brother, David, now 54. His application to come to the U.S. is still pending. With adulthood came the desire for greater opportunity -- something in short supply for many who are perpetually struggling in the Philippines, the siblings said. Because Aldeza was born in the U.S. -- when their parents briefly worked in Chicago as medical students -- he was qualified to immediately sponsor his siblings' applications. Sales recalled being thrilled by the idea of coming to the U.S. "I really wanted to work here," she said. However, as the years went by with no word about her application, the excitement faded into a vague hope, she said. Over time, what was once a strong family bond became frayed by the distance, with Aldeza traveling back to the Philippines for just two short visits during the last two decades as he raised his family here. Sales married and had two children of her own. "We kept in touch through letters, pictures and by the telephone," mostly when family news was to be delivered, such as when children and grandchildren were born and when their parents died several years ago, Aldeza said. Finally, in June 2008, a letter to Sales from the U.S. government arrived out of the blue, confirming that her Immigration application had been processed and approved. "I was overjoyed and excited, but at the same time worried because I may not be able to work now," said Sales, who took more than a year to decide that after all that time, she still wanted to come. "I'm already 52 years old. I haven't worked for a long time." As she adjusts to her new surroundings -- particularly the frigid Midwestern winters -- Sales said she is preparing to begin anew by studying for entrance exams for nursing school here. With much of the Philippines still wracked by poverty -- exacerbated by two typhoons in October that killed about 1,000 people and caused $4.4 billion in damages -- Sales also is trying to bring her children and three grandchildren to the U.S. "I've sent their papers to the visa center, but (U.S. Immigration officials) have not yet answered," she said, adding that she hopes the process won't again be filled with delay. "I want them to be with me here." http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/chi-family-reunited-25-dec27,0,7575783.story moreResolved Question: What is a HOT sales job?

I was fired for being late for a Burger King management job, and my unemployment benefits (Ohio) were originally approved. I was employed for about 14 months and had occasionally been late (as had many other employees that were not fired). On the day in question, I was picking up supplies from 2 other restaurants in the chain (that were across town) before my shift started, and I got stuck in rush-hour traffic. My former employer appealed, and there was a hearing over the phone (6 months after being fired). Apparently now my benefits have been revoked and I have to pay back my benefits. I cannot afford to pay this back, not to mention that I feel that they are just picking on the little guy because Ohio unemployment is broke and my former employer is cheap. Also, my employer had fired a few other managers around that time, sales were down, and I was being split between 2 stores because they did not have enough hours at either (they also messed up my schedule continuously or had me working odd shifts). Thus, I think that they really just needed to cut workers and found an excuse. Is there another level of appeals, or do I have to accept this as final? I have not received a ruling in writing, but the website says that I was "overpaid" and have to pay them back. Is there any exception for not having enough money to pay them back? I only just barely found a part-time job, and my wife recently had surgery, so we have thousands in medical bills (plus our other bills). None of the facts of this case have changed in the last 6 months, so I do not understand how my unemployment could be suddenly denied. moreResolved Question: I'm so lost with college decision :( please help? A government health insurance plan sounds nice and pretty, but when you consider a little bit of history concerning the government and its regulation of the private insurance market and consider basic economics it's pretty darn clear that as time goes on more and more people will be forced into government run plans. First, the lie that the government wishes to just "compete" with private insurers is complete BOGUS. The federal (and state governments) already heavily regulate the private insurance market. Over the years governments (both state and federal) have required insurers to cover more and more procedures, many which have nothing to do with health thereby forcing customers to shell out more money instead of just simply allowing consumers to customize their plan....you know kinda like how you do with other insurance. Also doctors spend around 30 billion per year (according to CNN) on malpractice insurance. So if we could have some tort reform of some sort to reduce law suit abuse. But the point I REALLY try to make to people is this....Private insurance companies need to at least break even to keep themselves in business. Government does not. Government can afford to operate at a loss because it has an endless supply of tax revenue and the ability to borrow money from sales of bonds or by monetizing the debt with the Federal Reserve. Now ask yourself this....if you were a business of some sort, and you were competing against someone who could afford to operate at a loss indefinitely don't you think you would have a hard time competing against them? They could afford to continually undercut you (at their loss) and eventually put you out of business. So as you can see the government is NOT competing against private insurers in a FREE market because 1) they regulate their competitors already and 2) they can afford to lose as much money as they want since they do not need to make a profit or even break even to stay in business. Now some people would say that as long as they can afford to give people cheap medical care then it shouldn't really matter if they operate at a loss....Well ok, but there is one problem with that and that is supply If the government sets prices artificially low then their will be an increase in demand for those services. The system will not be able to handle everybody in a timely manner which will lead to long waits and rationing. Now to be clear there already is rationing today just as their is rationing of every product and service we buy....the rationing factor is the price. There are ways to lower the price using Free market solutions instead of the heavy coercive hand of government such as: Tax deductions for health savings accounts that can be used towards deductibles or insurance premiums, tort reform, allowing private insurance to compete in a free market unlike what it has endured over the years as increased government regulation has increased the price. I'm starting to ramble, but the main point I wanted to put out for debate is that government is NOT competing against private insurers because it is government that is setting the terms of competition and not the market and also the government can afford to operate at a loss while private insurers can't. Talk about a monopoly! Please if all you can say is a bunch of rude or ignorant things then please don't comment. moreVoting Question: What computer program to use?
I'm going to make a personalized POS or sales monitoring system in my auntie's medical supplies store. I don't know how to start and what program to use. I just need a simple and easy to use program and no hassle.and also, my aunt want to buy a cash register. i need only a cheap one that is compatible to my codes. moreResolved Question: How the hell is health care a right?
I just read an article calling health care a right. I do not buy this one. People have the right to dink all the want and destroy their liver and they have a right to get patched up? Sorry, no sale. Most people would not need health care if they just put down the cheeseburger and walked 30 minutes a day. It is pretty obvious that they way most people live the time and medical supplies would hardly be worth it. I just do not see this as a right unless we impose laws that prohibit us damaging our bodies to begin with such as smoking and drinking. DRAGON 2012 "Great fortune for U.S."The only way I would see to keep health care costs down would be eliminate as many causes as possible. I really doubt we are going to try prohibtion and Obama himself smokes. Cut those two out and it would help and more people would get home safely on the roads. If a person is hell bent on destroying their body then yes medical supplies are more important than them. moreResolved Question: help pleases and thank u?

I'm sure I'm going to get some not so nice answers to this question because face it.....there are some smart a** people in our society but I would really like some advice. I'm 38, married and over the last few years I have had bad luck in my career. I was a medic in the U.S. Air Force for four years and finished about 2.5 years of college. In 1997 I got an entry level job with a medical device company and worked my way up through that company for 4 years. Then I became a territory manager with another medical device company, selling surgical supplies. I worked there for 5 years and left that company to become a regional manager with a medical diagnostic company. I covered the entire Western United States and managed 4 reps. After about a year and a half the company was bought out and they let everyone go. I then went to work with a medical consultation company as a territory manager, and after 8 months they laid off over half of the sales force, including me. My latest job was a regional manager for a medical distribution company. I managed 6 reps and was doing exceptionally well, then the company was bought out and they let everyone go. Throughout my career I won numerous sales awards and had great success. I love medical sales, and the medical industry in general, but I'm tired of going from one job to another. I've made upwards of $170k a year and while money is nice, it's not everything. Stability is more important than money. So, here I am now. Unemployed and considering my next move. I'm back in Chicago now and have considered going back to college to finish off my degree. If I go back to school, I'd like to focus on a specialty like a Physician Assistant degree, Nursing, or even something out of the medical field. I would like to finish off my degree, or move into a different career that will start me off around $60k minimum. The thing that is hold me back from finishing my degree is my age. I know that I'm not that old, but I would rather be working and building a new career than going back to school. What are some other options? My 1 year old daughter has been wheezing a lot lately and the doctor prescribed her proventil (an inhaler) and a spacer with a mask to deliver the puffs (since she is incapable of following instructions to use a regular inhaler). Insurance wouldn't cover the spacer, so I ended up paying $71.99 for it at CVS. Then, when I got home, I looked up the spacer online and found it for sale widespread for $28! It seems like the pharmacy has price gouged here, did they not? After all, people tend to go to pharmacies for these types of things when they have an urgent or emergency situation. Why not jack up the price 3x the normal amount? I'm angry right now, is there anything I can do? moreResolved Question: What job(s) should I look for?

I'm a bit nervous about writing this here since my blood may be worth a big value. just maybe.. and I don't wanna be held for ransom if it even is.. HA!! but like wise.. I tested positive on a new infection to HIV-1. My first test the Anti-body test came positive, then the western blot came reactive.. but the rest were weakly reactive and some non-reactive. So the doctor ran the VL load and it was <50 under or undetectable. It stayed like that ever since. I was told that this is very unusual since new infections should have a viral load, and its unusual because im not like the "other" long term non-progresses, im different. So now the doctors think that my body may have "Cured" itself from the virus (virus can no longer replicate), but ridding of the virus however not possible yet... The virus can still remain in some flesh tissue or brain tissue or even the lymph nodes. So how this came about is the specialist thinks that my body has instructed a message to the T8 & T4 to Delete its own CCR5 receptors and self destruct the cells already infected = "the curing of the speared" of the virus. They also check the semen and spinal fluid for the virus and shipped it to a special lab out in CA. The findings were the virus was not present. I had two PCR tests ran, because no one knew if I was really infected or not despite the Western Blot tests. But soon after the second PCR test came in, the specialist get all hush hush, and ask for my consent to release documents to some Health Organization thing.. soon I get a call from a Merek Corp. Wanting me as research and will get FDA permission to conduct research on me.. of course i was suckered into signing but now im worried, I ain't no professional i just want to know whats going on, and the doctors have stopped giving me details. Any way, when i was at the doctors office, while waiting in the waiting room I stole my file records went acorss the street and copied all the tests results and sure enough no one noticed since it took years for the doctor to come in the office, I shoulda took some Q-tips and some other supply's and stashed them in my bad too!.. HA! you know the have a free sale and medical supply's;) wink wink.. but anyway I don't know how to interpret the tests so I'm going to post it here and I guess a pro help me? Same time I think its a bit un-ethical for docs to be all hush about the details of something unless there trying to protect something i don't know. So here as follows: U.S. IND, NO: 10,887 PROTOCOL: V520-023-00 STUDY ID: MQM SITE#: 16 ALLOCATION#: 09954 Absolute CD4 (IN RANGE) = 990 Absolute CD8 = 525 Multispot HIV 1/2 SCRN = REACTIVE HIV-1 AB WESTERN BLO = POSITIVE P18 = Weakly Reactive P24 = Reactive P31 = Reactive P40 = Reactive GP41 = Non Reactive P51 = Reactive P55= Weakly Reactive P65 = Reactive GP120=Non Reactive VL=<49 Undetected DNA PCR = To be followed (verbal Positive) 5 Weeks Later they ran the another test. I was told that I am just like 0.18% of the population of HIV infected persons known to be "Elite Long term non progresser" but my system has also deleted the CCR5 Receptor and Created an "unknown receptor" (not yet known in any medical book, i think) they took out sooo much blood and i have yet to have any answer in to what the hell is going on with me. They are sending my blood to different countries and acorss the nation to be studied further. And yet no findings from the CDC about the mystery so called protein in my cell or receptor thing or whatever the hell it is. They stabbed needles in my back to get spinal fluids and some other samples of stuff including semen. but i get the round about on a straight answer and all they do is beat around the bush on things. Now they want a sample of my bone marrow.. like wtf.. can someone tell me any idea of whats going on with a simple answer no beating around the bush.. and anyone know more about Merek and what they are doing with my blood, i asked and all i get is research.. thats all anyone know the real scoop?I was also told this is a "functional cure" to the HIV virus and that I will never progress, or become sick with aids forever. following arms and weapon sales. Shouldn't our "representatives" be proposing the legalization of all drugs, and the tax, regulation, sale of all natural plants just like alcohol... for instance you could go to the weed store and buy pot and magic mushrooms. Soft drugs which are less harmful than alcohol if you go do your homework. For the hard drugs like cocaine and heroin I believe addiction should be treated as a medical condition instead of criminal condition and that addicts should be able to receive a sufficient supply from their doctors and also have real drug treatment availible for these people if they so desire. Not only would the legalization of drugs be the humane and honest thing to do, it would also take the profits out of the hands of violent criminals, and open totally new avenues of business. The current policies do more harm than good and fund corruption and violent organized crime. If you really want to "save" the country, and get the nation back on a sound fiscal economic course this is better than anything these politicians who merely support the status quo with their failed policies. Freedom and Enlightenment for all. What do you propose Jessica? More of the same old failed stone age policies?Fact is the economy could be vibrant and strong, but your politicians make too much money off illegal drugs and organized crime. Not only that your failed policies have done nothing at all to decrease drug use or the supply of drugs to those that want them. Your policies fund gangs, organized crime, and corrupt politicians.Killer Queen, you'd have to eat like 640lbs of what's commonly known as the magic mushroom to reach a toxic level. Go do your homework before you make idiotic statements... true certain kinds of mushrooms can kill you outright, but that's not what they want. You can not agree with it all you want, but I've yet to see anyone come up with a logical rational alternative, or show that the current policies are working. We've tried your way, and Prohibition doesn't work. It didn't work in the 1920's and it doesn't work in 2008.I also support legalized and regulated prostitution. It has nothing to do with me wanting a prostitute. I also assure you I'm not on drugs nor addicted to anything, but I'm no choir boy I'll admit that.FugQ2, I know all kinds of people in all levels of society who have or do smoke marijuana. Even Obama admits to inhaling frequently and even though I don't agree with the politics of either party he's obviously a very driven person.Weird Wendell, the taxation of legal drugs would more than fund treatment for hard drug users, and it wouldn't cost much to prescribe them their junk if that's all they wanted. I agree with you on about people that would kill themselves on drugs, it's not like we don't already have enough stupid people in the country. If that's their goal, let them do it. If you like drug gangs, political and police corruption, and paying $30k+ a year on average to lock people up for smoking a plant, then you need to start funding your own insane policies. moreVoting Question: Which area of medical sales is the best way to go after I earn my degree?
Hello, I am 28 years old, in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, and back in school to finish my degree. After career & personality tests and much research, I'm seriously leaning towards a sales career in the medical business. I have about a year and a half left of school, and am considering attaining a Bachelors in Business Marketing. I've heard that the majority of successful medical sales reps are young, female, attractive and outgoing. (If that offends anyone, I apologize. It's not my personal opinion, since I obviously have not had any real world experience in the feild. It's the opinions of many of the professionals I've spoken to about my career path.) Yes, I do fall into that category however. How important that is to my questions depends on the person answering. Also, I realize this is a hard business to break into. That you have to know people to get in, but once you're in, you're in. (This pertains to one of my questions later.) My questions are as follows: 1) Out of all of the specfic fields in medical sales (i.e. pharmaceutical sales, laboratory sales, clinical diagnostics sales, DNA sales, medical supplies sales, medical equipment sales, imaging sales, etc.), what is the overall "best", in your opinion, and why? 2) In your opinion, what are the 3 best qualities and the 3 worst qualities of this position? 3) What Bachelors degree do you think would be best for your specific choice? 4) What experience do you have? 5) What type of work can I get into now, that will not only help me to gain business to business sales experience while attaining my degree, but possibly help me to get my foot in the door later (or give me the opportunity to network to help me get in the door later)? 6) Are there any type of certifications or accreditations that I could attain on the side while in school that will benefit my career or help me to land a job? 7) In your opinion, what are the best 2 or 3 companies in the DFW area to work for in your chosen specific area of medical sales? 8) What areas in medical sales are the least likely to be seriously affected by the economy with layoffs, etc. (Which has the best job security?) You'd REALLY help me out if you could answer any or all of my questions. If you are in one of these fields, when answering, it might help if you think about this: "If you could go back, do it all over again with the knowledge you have now, what would you do different? What would you tell your younger, inexperienced self to help you earlier in your career?" Thank you all in advance!! So it's hard for me to understand the following sentence: "is sold off and redeployed in the medical supplies subsidiary at the same rate of return on assets currently achieved in the medical supplies division" Could anyone explain this sentence in a way easy to understand or solve the question? Thanks a lot!is it sold to the medical division and what is the price or return money of the 8,000,0000 investment sold? How is it redeployed to the medical? I'm a nurse in the operating room and we are always dealing with representatives for different companies (stryker, depuy, etc.) I've heard they make really good money and my husband is still trying to decide what kind of job he wants to look into. Has anyone here had any luck buying from an online medical supply retailer, with good service and great prices? A good company whose sole purpose is to help folks out, rather than gouge their eyes out with ridiculous prices and horrible customer service? I just had a bad experience with an online retailer that over charged me, not only on the item I bought, but also on the shipping! They're totally evil! I don't want to mention any names specifically, but I will say that the word "equipment" is part of their name. Anyway, I want to be able to order things I might need for my sick, 13 year old daughter, with out being "hassled" by a pushy sales person or overcharged. However, I still want to be able to speak with someone who knows what they are talking about, and can give me options. Does anyone have a company and/or name that they can recommend? moreVoting Question: How much does a medical supplies, sales representative make?
