Open Question: Is it legal to label a food item by a fruit that is not contained in the product?
I bought a large tub of Yoplait's "Creamy Strawberry" yogurt. In the past I've purchased the small ones that have chunks of strawberry in it so I thought it was a great deal price wise to get a large tub for the sale price. First I found it strange that there were no chunks of strawberry like there is in the small sized ones. It just tasted a little funny so I read the ingredients and there is NO STRAWBERRY listed in it. It's fake coloring and artificial flavors yet there are pictures of strawberries on the label. Is this considered misleading and false advertising? moreOpen Question: Cost Classifications Assignment?
For each of the following costs, identify whether the item is A variable or fixed cost? Direct or indirect cost? Controllable or uncontrollable cost? For example: Plant Utilities would be a variable, indirect, and controllable cost. Not all items will fit into each category. Items that do not fit a category should be labeled as not applicable. Raw materials. Staples used to secure packed boxes of the product. Plant janitor’s wages. Order processing clerk’s wages. Advertising expenses. Production worker’s wages. Production supervisor’s salaries. Sales force commissions. Maintenance supplies used. President’s salary. Electricity cost for the office building. Real estate taxes for the plant. Production-run setup costs. Depreciation of plant equipment. Outbound shipping costs moreOpen Question: Can you please edit my report?
Introduction: Microsoft and Apple are two of the largest companies in the world! Microsoft is only slightly larger than Apple, their value is $270 billion while Apple’s value is $225 billion. It’s almost unbelievable that Apple is worth 50 times more than they were ten years ago! After Apple became famous because of their iPods, people started realizing how great their other products were. Teens everywhere are buying iPods instead of other music players because of their smooth design, luxurious software, and also because iPods are more popular than other music players like the Microsoft Zune. Parents are switching from their PC to the MAC because of Apple’s great customer service and that the MACs are less complicated than the PCs. Even the architects who designed Bill Gate’s mansion used MACs! I chose this project because I wanted to prove my point that Apple is better for kids/preteens our age than Microsoft. I think they are better because many people our age use Apple products instead of Microsoft products, like the iPod. Another reason is because there are so many educational applications that help with studying and homework in the iTunes App Store, and anyone with an iPod Touch, iPhone, and/or Mac all have access to them! Wouldn’t it be easy to have a units converter at your fingertips? Also people our age care about the looks of our devices, and Apple’s designs are better than Microsoft’s design, nobody can argue with that! Apple’s goal is to be simple, while providing the best experience for their users, this is what all the other companies should be aiming for too! MACs: In the 80’s, Microsoft’s computers attracted all of the customers, now the MAC’s sales have grown faster than the PC sales for five consecutive years, no wonder 80% of the enterprises in the United States support the MAC! Many Windows lovers are getting the MAC because Windows can actually run on the MAC desktops and laptops! You just have to choose if you want to run Windows or the Mac OS when you boot up your MAC, that’s pretty nifty, considering that you can use Windows for Windows-Only programs and use the MAC OS when you aren’t running those Windows-Only programs. One of the most common computer and laptop programs are the viruses, everybody hates viruses! Who wants a virus that could steal their email passwords and send spam to your friends? One of the most common ways that a virus gets downloaded into your computer is when you visit a website and the virus on that website automatically downloads itself onto your computer. Luckily, if you get a MAC, then you would rarely ever get a virus, this is because the MAC requires a password for everything you download, so if you get a window that requests for your download password and you didn’t download anything, you’ll know that it’s a virus and cancel the download. Also, if you think requiring a password for every download is annoying, you can always turn it off in the settings section! Therefore, kids who have MACs instead of PCs can play games and chat with people without their computers crashing every five minutes! Another problem that the PC has is the amount of time it takes to install the security updates! Most people would rather not have the security update than to wait 3 hours to get it finished downloading! In a MAC, their security updates are small (since they don’t even need security updates), and they automatically download themselves when you aren’t using your MAC, no more waiting for annoying security updates to download! Downloading security updates take up the computer/laptop’s CPU usage, which makes their computer and laptops slower. This would frustrate anyone, and if they were writing a report or research paper, their mood would affect the outcome of their paper. Many people don’t mind about the time it takes to start up their PC or MAC, but if they were in hurry, a slow startup computer or laptop would really make them panic. An average PC’s startup time is 60 seconds while the average MAC startup time is 30 seconds, anyone can easily print a document in 30 seconds! The most common reason that people buy PCs instead of MACs is because of the cost of the MAC. If you compare a VAIO laptop (about $2000) to the MacBook (about $1000), they both are very professional high quality laptops, except the VAIO laptop costs more than the MAC. If you also include the antivirus applications you need for the PC, the Microsoft Word Suite, and other things that didn’t come with a PC laptop, the prices would go up significantly. Another common reason that people don’t buy MACs is because they think that the MACs don’t have Microsoft Office. Since a lot of people use Microsoft Office, it’ll be really hard for them to share homework files. The truth is that the MAC does have Microsoft Office, there is a MAC OS version of the Microsoft Office that you can buy, and you can also have a 65 day trial before you buy it too. Also, if you don’t want to buy Microsoft Offyou can always use the iWork, a MAC version of the Microsoft Word. You can open and save files in Microsoft Word format, which clears up all the file sharing problems! According to reviews, people said that the iWork is very simple to use, but still have the important features that Microsoft Office has. They recommend iWork to people who have trouble understanding the features on the Microsoft Office. Most MACs have multiple USB ports, Bluetooth (which many PCs don’t have), and WiFi (they were actually once of the first laptops to have WiFi). A popular feature of the MACs is the search box. It is located in the top right part of the screen, it’s not big, but it’s very easy to find. If you wanted to find a definition of a word without looking in a dictionary, then just type that word in the search box and the definition would automatically come up! If you click on the definition, it would tell you if it’s a verb, noun, or something else, and it would also give you a sentence with the wwith the word in it, imagine how easy it would to do a spelling packet with that feature, no more turning to the front page and searching for the word and the definition for it! Another great feature of the search box is the calculator, if you wanted to solve an equation quick, then just enter the equation into the search box, and the answer would automatically come up. No more waiting for the calculator program in Windows to load up! One thing that people our age like to do is chat, and the MAC has a program that comes with your purchase called iChat. On iChat, you can sign into multiple accounts from popular sites like AIM. You can also have four way video chats, just like a mini online conference! If you didn’t have texting with your cellphone, you can always open up iChat and text people from there, free of charge! If you are concerned about who your children talks to, you can always choose who they can and cannot chat with, which would keep creepy child molesters from tricking yochild molesters from tricking your children. Another cool feature that comes with the MAC is iPhoto. This application is just like Windows Office Picture Manager and Windows Photo Gallery, you can zoom in images, edit them, and even crop them! What the iPhoto has that Windows Office Picture Manager and Windows Photo Gallery doesn’t have is a “Face Tagger”. A “Face Tagger” lets you tag a face of a photo once, and iPhoto will automatically find other photos with the same face. This would make it easier for anyone to find images of specific people without going through their entire photo collection! Another great application is the Grapher, which graphs the information that you put into it and also equations like “y=mx+b”. This would be a really useful application for people learning about graphing. Everyone that has an iPod probably knows what the iTunes Store is. It’s so popular that even people who don’t have iPods know about it! Basically, it’s an application that organizes and plays all your music and videos. If you have an iPod, you would also know that it syncs the games, applications, videos, pictures, and music onto your iPod. It is free to download, and it comes with the MACs. There are many great features in iTunes, an example is the ability to add lyrics to songs, you can view the lyrics on your iPod after you add them. This would make it great for someone to sing along with the song. Another feature is that you can change the volume of only one song, so if you liked a particular song and wanted it louder than the other songs, you can change the volume easily in iTunes. You can also change many things in the “Options” tab, like what time a particular song starts and ends (makes it easier for dancers because most of the time, they only dance to part of the song) and iflike what time a particular song starts and ends (makes it easier for dancers because most of the time, they only dance to part of the song) and if you really didn’t like the song, you can make iTunes skip the song while shuffling, so you don’t have to press the skip key. Options like these help students save time, which they can use to do their homework or study for a test. Have you ever gotten frustrated or sad that your parents were not available to drive you to the theaters for you to see a movie? Well, you don’t have to be, because in the iTunes store, you can buy movies and watch them any time! They are only about $9.99 - $14.99, which is the same price as a movie ticket! You would also save money by microwaving your own popcorn instead of buying the theater’s overpriced popcorn! Also, if you don’t want to pay $9.99 to $14.99 for a movie, you can always rent it for $3.99 for 30 days! You can watch anytime you want within that 30 days, and it’s about 50% of a movie ticket price, moreOpen Question: what TYPE and COLOR shirt should i wear with this outfit? i'm completely stumped?

My husband and I attended a travel seminar for Southern Journey's on Saturday. It sounded like a good deal at the time since my husband and I travel a lot in areas close to our home. They used an old destination report in the sales meeting, but they told us that the areas that we travel were included in their destination offerings. When we came home after the purchase we found out that this was inaccurate information and that there are NO areas that we travel to that they accommodate. I have read the information on the cooling off period for the state of Texas, and I am not sure if it applies in this case or not. I am hoping that someone can provide me insight as to the following. Since the sale took place and the purchase was done with Southern Journey's do I have any recourse with them for the sale or with Travel Advantage Network. Since Southern Journey's was selling TAN product I am not sure how this factors into things. Has anyone had any positive experiences with re cooping any money back on this process. I know it was a horrible mistake on our part, and we should have looked at it before we purchases. Had I seen TANs website and knew the extreme limitations in their offerings as to what our interest were it would have been a very different outcome. Also is there any law that protects buyers from sellers using old 2008 material to speak to current offerings? Thank you for your time and honest feedback. moreOpen Question: Looking for market to sell palm oil?
