I am 12, and the doctors say I might be diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes, and I have some questions to ask. Is type 2 diabetes curable? Can you die from it? Voting Question: Help my mother is really sick!!?

Ever since January my mother is really ill. She has had a series of faint. Whenevr this happens she feels really hot and cold. She feels feverish and has a really banging headache,. We went to the doctors a few times they cleared her of diabetes and no she isnt pregnant. I get really scared when this happens to her and can do anything for my mothers cure. When my mum was born there was no NHS. She had a difficult childhood, due to illness. She spent a lot of time in hospital at great expense to my grandparents. Complications from all that led to her needing a heart operation almost 30 years ago. She got that on the NHS for free. They've basically extended her life by decades. She's an old woman now, and is currently in hospital again. She keeps falling foul to old age. Basically they keep her going and going. The NHS has fixed her heart, cured her cancer, caught and controlled her diabetes, they've rescued her from pneumonia and a few other complicated stomach problems. She's had her money's worth. Sorry to hear that.Kiki, that is shocking. My mum actually received what was supposed to be the best possible heart valve at the time. It was made in the USA. My dad has type 2 I think. (It's the one where you don't use insulin). The problem is he lives in Africa where the drugs can not be trusted. Resolved Question: i think I'm diabetic... I want everyone's opinion, what would YOU do? Diabetic or not.?

Ok so here's the thing... I have a history of diabetes in my family, I'm a few stone overweight and I get shakey, irritable and sick when I don't eat which is usually cured if I eat or drink a sugary drink. About a year ago I suffered from depression and my weight dropped rapidly and I hardly ate and I ended up fainting and still don't know if it was low blood pressure or low sugar levels. The fact is, If I am diabetic then I have been for a long time and I cope with it quite well. I don't want to have to start taking medication or injecting myself or going on special diets. I work as a support worker and most days i don't stop for lunch so having to go on a special diet would really throw me! So really. Honestly is there any point in going to the doctors and getting tested. I'm 22 and doing fine. I excersise and eat healthily. My husband is sure that I should go, but really, other than confirming and everyone giving me advice, is it not just better to do as I am? Resolved Question: Why won't the cut on my heel heal?

Several weeks ago, I was using the "Pedegg" and I got a tiny cut on my heel. Unfortunately, that tiny cut has now widened and hurts like hell. It measures about one inch and is a bit open. It seems as if it is drying, but it really hurts and is swollen a bit. I've been to the doctor and he gave me a week supply of Curam, but that does not seem to have worked. I am using yellow sulphur powder, but still it does not seem to be curing. I don't have diabetes, (at least according to the last test I took), so why won;t this thing heal already? more

Resolved Question: Just been to the Doctor...VERY LONG!!?

Hi ladies! I'm 20wks+2 and for about three weeks have had bad pains in my groin which have got so bad it felt like my pelvis was about to snap when I walk. Contacted a midwife who told me it's not a pregnancy problem and to contact my GP and I've just had my appointment. Turns out I have SPD (which I already suspected since I had it on my last full term pregnancy) and she basically told me what I already knew..that it's going to get a lot worse. She also told me to rest as much as is possible (very difficult when I have two very energetic children aged 8 and 4) and work isn't a good idea either as I work in retail and am on my feet all day. I know there isn't a cure for it and for now we're going to keep a close eye on it and I'm to go back if it worsens so we can decide what to do next. Has anyone else experienced this so early on and how did you manage with regards to work etc??? I really don't want to take my maternity leave too early because I want all the time possible after my baby is born. The next thing she got concerned about is the fact that I'm very big for my stage in pregnancy (at first she thought I was 7 months just by looking at me). She got me to lay on the couch so she could have a prod about and it turns out my uterus is very high compared to where it should be. She queried whether it was actually twins which two previous scans have confirmed it isn't, then asked if there was a history of diabetes in my family which there isn't. She then asked when my next scan was which is Tuesday and told me if I wasn't already booked in then she'd have got me in on Monday because she's worried that it's either a very big baby or I'm carrying a LOT of fluid. Again has anyone else experienced this and how did things turn out for you?? Did carrying too much fluid have a detrimental effect on your pregnancy? Resolved Question: Strange illness in 9year old boy - please help?

Hey, My little brother has been ill since March this year, and in and out of hospital a lot recently yet no one can work out what is wrong with him. The easiest way to describe this is month by month so here goes: March: Occasionally sick tummy.. Each time getting worse. April/May: Complaining of sickly tummy, after 1/2weeks developed diarrhoea badly - doctors described many tablet/antibiotics all of which did not cure this. Many tests run. Lost a lot of weight. Extremely bad mood swings. June: Placed on a lactose free diet, which appeared to have stopped the diarrhoea and improved mood swings. Still slightly tired. Started to put weight back on. July: In the start of the month he was perfect, towards the end mood swings started again - we called these 'turns' as they come on quickly and go away after half a hour. Started getting chest pains, and got rushed into hospital to be told there was nothing wrong (heart burn maybe) and to go home. Pains lasted around 2 weeks and faded away. August: Belly aches returned at the start, followed by diarrhoea again and slight sickness with mood swings 'turns' - again doctors could not cure this with anything, just told to ''make him eat''. Very tired, ''clinging to mother'' and missing a lot of school. Occasional chest pain but says it is not as bad as it was. Last week: Turned blue around mouth and fingers after eating, also getting a lot of 'pins and needles' in fingers and limps - rushed into hospital and on way turned blue again. Still having sickly tummys and diarrhoea sometimes with sickness. Yet again, no diagnosis, was sent home with nothing. He describes his tummy aches and pains as ''twisted and pushed, like someone is ringing out a wet towel'' and ''stabbing pains in his sides which leaves them sore'' When he 'gets ill' it happens in steps, like: gets tired and loses interest in toys/games/playing, starts to 'cling' to parents/sister while getting irritable and grumpy with everyone, begins to gets tummy pains .. These pains get worse and normally result in a very long trip to the bathroom which leaves him physically drained and again tired. Takes him a good hour to get 'back to normal'. All this normally happens after eating. He is still on lactose free diet. They have tested him for lots of things but what I can think of right now is: diabetes, blood disorders, cancer, bladder/kidney infections, heart problems. he is 9 years old and is normally fit and healthy - plays football, is in swimming team with lots of friends. used to be a happy and active little boy. We have seen diet and allergies specialists.. All in all a very ill little boy, and everyone is getting tired of getting no where. He has a appointment with a paediatrician in October, but we are hunting for anything that will help ASAP. Well I'm sorry you feel that way but clearly you are lucky enough to have never been in our sitiuation. If the doctors can/willl not help, then of course we are going to try EVERYTHING else... even if that means asking EVERYONE by which means resorting to the internet. I asked for your help, not some thoughts that didnt help at all. What would you do if you had got to the point where you had to witness your brother so very ill all the time without being able to help at all. I am just looking to see if anyone has been like this or know anyone that has had to suffer like this.. to try and help point the medical staff in the right direction. Its very difficult to explain in short but after giving up sugar and carbs my health is unbelievable all the illnesses Ive had all my life disappeared without any drugs,including hay fever,athletes foot, regular soar throats, chest infections,flue,colds,tooth ache,headaches,boils..I believe everybody has cancer sells in there body and recently found out that a scientist discovered that they go wild for some reason and get out of con troll.well if we all have cancer cells we must all have the cure or we would all just die early of the cancer.now it seems very clear to me now that sugar is not only rotting our teeth it is rotting our immune system and probably the rest of our body one way or another.and before anybody answers that your teeth don't heal I'm afraid they do because my teeth are now harder and stronger than they have ever been at age 45 with no visits to the dentist i have only given up sugar and carbs and eat like the Eskimos who live very happy healthy lives on mainly fat and fish.I now believe that scientist have made a big mistake by believing that fruit is good for us because many black people seem stronger and fitter naturally who have evolved on high carb and fruit diets, I now believe that they have simply become more immune to carbs on there high carb diets over thousands of years so it must be good for us but we have increasing cancer diabetes and obesity since so.consider this>> .If a person keeps lifting a heavy weight on his left arm but not his right the left arm will build a bigger stronger muscle than the right, but if he over does it and lifts to much he will tare the mussel and damage the strength and have a weaker left arm and if he continues to strain the arm will get weaker and die but if he gives up the exercise the arm heals and he can gently build the muscle again. i believe that cutting down or stopping carb and sugar allows the body to regain strength and kill the cancer like it did before the sugar destroyed there immune system along with there teeth.Oh just one more point in the late1970s Interferon was discovered interferon was the ermine system taken out of the blood of the cancer patient and grown in strength and injected back into the cancer patient and it was curing many of the cancer patents within days but is very expensive.this way you can do it for free.but i believe in some cases the cancer came back because they kept eating the sugar that killed of the immune system again. you form a close attachment to soon....you are very needy, you have very low self esteem....and as soon as people pick up on these things, their off and you finish up always being rejected, socially rejected. im 30 years old and have borderline personality disorder...because of this problem, ive never formed any friendships or relationships, ever. never had a partner. ive always been rejected because of this problem to...i was bullied throughout secondary school and couldnt mix....i didnt enjoy going and i ended up dropping out of school. since then, from 15 onwards, ive been homeless, been attacked, mugged in the street. sustained head injuries in a street attacks. been in a psychiatric hospital. plus i was sexually abuse at 3 years old. now iam 30, ive physically aged, im overweight, have 2 missing teeth, front bottom row. torn ankle ligaments....could have diabetes because im always thirsty. im bald. so im worrying the odds of me finding a nice partner in life seem like remoteplus i feel so bad about myself i never even no how to talk to girls or women......and because of my extreme low self esteem, i always get rejected. and the clingyness, and my un self assured demeanor frightens them away. im really depressed and frustrated because ive spent all my life like this now. plus i feel i have a small manhood....so i get low esteem from this tofreeD : what are you talking about you complete idiot - do i know you? i dont recolect that i do prk ! stay away from my questions, save your verbal diareah for others. more

I will really want to try these product. They are clearly aimed at desperate people like us. The nagging question for me is if they work why havve they not been taken up by the pharmaceutical companies and officially licenced. I watched a newscast that a gentleman told that he had and could cure diabetes from a change of diet to EXCLUDE all meat products and biproducts. I believe that this is a vegan diet essentially.
