"An antibiotic used to treat severe acne and urinary tract infections also appears to be a potent weapon against acute ischemic stroke, a new report from Israeli researchers suggests. The drug in question is minocycline, a tetracycline derivative that has been used for years to fight bacterial infections. Over the past decade, the drug has also been shown to be effective in animal models of several neurological conditions, including Parkinson's, Huntington's and Lou Gehrig's diseases." Resolved Question: My Dog Ha Been Bitten Help?
My dog is a lab cross spaniel and its a 5 year old male i adopted him through RSPCA and he ha been removed from the previous owners due to him being attacked and not walked. he was bitten about 1/2 months ago and i have carried out his treatment by the vet i apply the ointment twice a day as instructed by the vet but they is no difference should i go to the vet again and ask for a collar as he constantly licks and nibbles at his wounds or should i just wait. the wounds are puncture wounds and the area around is swollen the actual wound looks red. the ones elsewhere are fur wounds but the ones under his chin are bite wound some has punctured his skin and when stroking him yesterday i found blood on my hands. Also should the RSPCA cover the cost of any treatment he may need due to it's not our fault but the previous owner's fault. thank you . :) moreOpen Question: Some solutions for my cats behavior towards me?
Okay well my cat is 4. And im 15, i love with my brother and parents! That is relevant ! My dad treats her quite rough which she doesnt like as she runs away when he is finished, also my brother harasses her alot, he pokes her and strokes her wrong etc and messes around with her when shes trying to sleep etc. Me and my mum treat her like a princess. We feed her, play with her nicely, stroke and hold her gently etc! she doesn't attack my mum, my dad or brother though, my cat she always goes for me when i stroke her or sometimes just walking past her! But she never does it to anyone else.. Infact i treat her the nicest as i dont give her flea treatment and the worm pill ! For example, this morning she came on my bed i was stroking her and she was purring, i had my arm under my pillow and she went for it.. so i just sat up and told her off (not that that made a difference...). So can anyone suggest why she does it just to me? and what can i do to try stop her from doing it? thanks:) x moreVoting Question: The retired GP Dr Martin has been struck off for giving overdoses of pain killers to his patients?
My brother had dementia. The medical decision was made to "withdraw treatment". This is a euphemism. All food and liquid was withdrawn with the barest drop of water placed on his parched lips. After 36 hours he died of hunger and thirst. By contrast, when my dog had a stroke which paralysed him the vet made a home visit. He gave my beloved pet a lethal injection. My dog died in my arms. Why is the treatment of our treasured pets more humane than that given to our family members? Why has the humane treatment of Dr Martin to his patients been so vilified? I welcome your comments.Thank you for all your informed comments. I really want to see an honest and open debate on this. I can't choose a best answer as most of your comments were so heartfelt. Thank you and best wishes. moreOpen Question: How do you like this story? (Please read it, I will be very grateful.)?
I've posted part of this here before, but now it's a little bit more developed. It takes place in the late 1800s or early 1900s, and it's about a couple. The woman has snapped, not taking any medication and refusing all treatments. She's highly delusional, and tends to give speeches from her favorite plays, dramas, or romantic fiction. ------ Blood trembled across the ground, racing through the ingrained lines of the floor boards. It pulsed with the living breath of its bearer, whose screams caused ripples to echo across the coagulating pool. It was alive, and nearly joyful to escape from the living container of flesh which had once been its prison. The sea lapped at the strange woman’s toe, voracious for her touch. She bent down with the calculative unawareness of a child. Drops of blood leapt into her open palms with romantic delight, as she studied them inquisitively. “Yes my children, your love is cruel. My keeper is dead because of you, but I accept this with tender resignation.” The drops once again became cohesive, and as loving siblings they embraced into a pool of consciousness, that listened to the words of their mother and lover assiduously. And as to offer them comfort, her tongue stroked the surface of the pool sending, echoes in every which direction. Time bent a great deal forward, rushing into the past after unknown ghosts, racing to uncover the beginning to such an unbearable ending, before the imagination winks, with his devilish smile and uncanny charm, lending the curious a colorful array of possibilities. They were fighting. You could hear their furry across the room, smashing against the walls, tearing up the rug, and slashing the paintings. Her anger trembled, wavering like a lost musical note that was unsure of itself, without realizing it drowned out the entire orchestra, with it’s sorrowful wings that weaved through different strands of music, separate from the whole. He was tired, and despite all his verbal prowess and tyrannical rage, he was beginning to grow silent. A grave mistake, with a woman whose moods and speeches were versatile, and swayed by simplistic things such as the evening breeze, the beauty of a poem, and the rhythm of a song as only a woman could. He stared into her dark green eyes, which simmered with tears that seemed to dance with the dim glow of the dying fire. He recognized that the tears were not the result of any grave sadness, but to place emphasis on her savage beauty and strange ways. They were a sign that her madness had come out to play Yet, they called to him, begging him to love her again. She sensed that the weakest of emotions was pilfering his being. “Let me be mad! “ She cried, pausing for dramatic effect. “Let me feel a hint of what it is to be human before I'm overwhelmed.” Silence once more, as she began to pace back and forth across the room, her heels clacking against the wooden boards. “ Too late. Too late. I am overwhelmed.” She muttered to herself, shaking her head back and forth as strands of strawberry blonde hair struck her tear stained cheeks. She looked into his eyes, and the wrinkles that only five years of marriage to her had caused. A new sort of rage began to fill her, something he had never seen before and he braced himself as she began to scream, once more her dramatic monologues. “The Icy blast of humanity chilled my nerves before I Felt like what it was to be cold.” Her voice grew more and more anxious with each word, winding into a state of hectic madness. He began to realize for the first time, that she was potentially dangerous. Without his noticing her insanity had grown into A terrific tangle of spider webs working in collusion to catch her as their prey. Why hadn’t he kept better track of when she had taken the medication? Her screams which rose and faded, began to interrupt his thoughts. “God bless. God bless. Save us! Save me! I've had time to live and die! time to live, but never to die! Now it is your turn to bring me from wretched dispair!” She paused once more, gasping for breath then chuckling at the small ironies. She didn’t know what she was screaming any more. Was it something she had heard from a play, or was something she had read a thousand times out of one of those silly little romantic novels? But what she did know, was that she certainly didn’t believe in the existence of any god. “ Shoot that last bullet in my neck” She demanded, for she had seen him furtively try for the pistol in the vase. Yet, suddenly she decided to continue with her petty little rant.: “ and let me drown in my own blood as it pours into my pale palms. Let me watch it spill in a pretty little pile across the wooden floor, before I too spill upon the ground. Before I too join the spirits in their laughter. In their dance. Oh what a good spirit I will be. God bless. God bless. Shoot me.”“No.” He said, interrupting her for the first time. Not because he loved her he realized (For in his heart of hearts he knew he had spent many a nights wishing he could pour a thousand bullets into that corrupted body), but because he didn’t care anymore. He didn’t care for the beauty with her mad little mind and racing thoughts, or their two children. He no longer thought of the life they had built for themselves for the past five years with any sort of partiality. She knew she had lost him as an audience. She took off a heel and flung it across the room, hitting him in the temple. He dropped to the ground from shock. “God damn you! “. Her tongue frothed and twisted in anxiety, struggling with the texture of the scream. She removed the other shoe, as he lied on the ground, his bones trembling as words poured from his lips but no sound occurred. What was there to say anyway? He didn’t know what to say, or even what he was trying to say. Sure she was mad but… and suddenly he washe was lost in that stupor of bright lights and champagne, caught in the brilliance of the horrific moment and a concussion of whirring thoughts. She slowly slithered over to where he lay. She realized he had a concussion, and that he was not going anywhere with the heel of her shoe stuck in his temple. She could take her time, though she knew that he must die, for he was no longer loyal to her, but his blood surely was. She could feel the energy inside his body that still desired for her, longed for her, that was still electrified by her very touch even when the skin and the mind had betrayed her. She raised the heel, blinked, and suddenly it was done. It was very simple she thought, and beautiful at the same time as she stared at her heel which pierced his eye socket. His body still shook, but for all intensive purposes he was dead to her.Do you think it's interesting? Is it overwritten? Do you care about the characters at all? Any suggestions? moreOpen Question: How is this story so far?

It's a cut from the book. How would you rate my writing? Please be descriptive. “So, what’s up?” Ryan asked me as I picked up the bottles of paint looking for the perfect color to add to my canvas. Turning my back to him I opened the cabinet door grabbing a few paintbrushes. He walked over to me. “Hello, is anyone there?” he waved his hands in front of me and laughed. “Shoo, fly don’t bother me.” he smiled and tilted his head. “Seriously, Laura? So are you giving me the silent treatment?” “Hey,” I looked past him. “Mr. Perry, do you have a funky color I could use to add to my canvas?” he wiped paint on his overalls and approached me. “If you’re looking for a funky color you could use Fallow which is kind of like a sandy color, Falu Red which is often used in Sweden for their barnyards, or Razzmatazz which was-” I cut him off. “Definetly Razzmatazz, sounds jazzy.” he smiled and reached to the top shelf and brought down an amazing shade of pink, not really my color, but it’ll do. “Thanks.” “You’re very welcome.” he nodded and walked back over to the student he was working with. Maurine was M.I.A. for the moment so I was stuck with Ryan today and luckily Matt wasn’t here either so that worked in my favor. Ryan sat down across from me and layed his chin on his arms. “Are you having one of those moments where you don’t want to talk to me? Or are you just PMS‘ing?” “No, Ryan. It’s just that I’m choosing not to talk to you for the rest of the year. You’re a self-conceited, over confident guy that just can’t seem to take the hint. Go away and never come back, got it?” he knitted his eyebrows together and frowned. “What happened to you? First you were all ‘come, come Ryan let’s have a light conversation over a cup of tea’ to the disrespectful bitch when I first met you-” “Which was yesterday you asshole, you have no right to assess me when you have yet to figure out who I am.” He sighed and folded his arms over his chest. “You’re such a hypocrite.” “What are you talking about?” I focused my eyes on him and set down the Razzmatazz paint. He raised an eyebrow and groaned leaning in closer to me. “You just said that I can’t assess you because I haven’t known you that long but rewind a few minutes ago and you’ll realize you assessed me too quickly. I swear on everything that is me I am not at all the guy you made me out to be.” I laughed while rolling my eyes. “Yeah, sure you’re right.” I picked up my paint brush and dipped it into the beautiful pink paint turning sideways; I adjusted my canvas onto the stand. The tip of the brush had almost reached the canvas but I felt my hand jerk hand, the brush landed on the floor and I turned to Ryan. A smug smile on his face. “Your brush fell; you might want to pick that up.” “How about you pick it up?” I glared at him. He leaned back and clasped his hands behind his head. “No, I think I’m fine just where I am. If you want me to be a self-conceited guy who can’t respect people then I’ll be that person.” I growled. “Yeah, way to prove me wrong. You’re so immature.” He smiled at me. “You know the only reason why I enjoy upsetting you is simply because it’s an easy thing to do. So, you could always switch back over to the nice Laura and I’ll pick up your precious little paintbrush.” Standing up I walked over to the cabinet and picked out another paintbrush; stomping back over to my chair I smiled then stuck out my tongue. He laughed; rolling his eyes. “Yeah, I’m so immature.” Chosing to ignore him I focused on the blank canvas in front of me, vivid colors seem to come from mind, lightly stroking the brush I applied random lines here and there. Dipping my brush on my color palet I mixed some colors together. Ryan being the immature guy he was; he threw his foot on top of the table. Groaning I grabbed my things and moved to a different station. Looking over to him; he smiled and waved. For only knowing a person for just two days I wanted to plan something to just teach him a lesson, maybe I could cut his hair, or rip his clothes…. Put makeup on his face? Who was I kidding he couldn’t go a second without looking at himself. I could talk to Sharon about what to do but maybe she would say “fighting isn’t the thing to do in warfare you have to play with the enemies mental stability..” Unless this wasn’t my war to fight. Peggy could do a pretty good job of becoming the next Napolean Bonaparte. I laughed at him and grinned cheerfully. Pushing the door open I sighed as Ryan touched my shoulder. I pushed him off and tried to walk faster. “What’s your problem, Laura?” he jogged to catch up with me. I turned to him and groaned. Apparently it wasn’t enough to tell him to leave me alone, no, I guess he didn’t really understand rejection. “Ryan please just do me a favor and go away. Go bother another unfortunate girl because you’re beginnito irritate me…” Beginning wasn’t even the word (the sight of him made me livid). He looked at me with a confused expression. “Beginning? That’s strange because I thought that we were past that.” he thought the the same thing, we were on the same page for once. I smiled. “Exactly, so now you get it,” he just stood there. “This is the part when you turn around and walk away…” he grinned and raised an eyebrow. “What?” “You’re gorgeous and I just can’t seem to understand why you don’t have the personality to match it.” I crossed my arms over my chest and tried my best not to roll my eyes. Instead, I replied with a simple answer. “Gee, I don’t know. I’ll get back to you when I have the answer.” moreResolved Question: Do you think this is a medical emergency and friend should be in hospital?
Two days ago a friend of mine went to visit the doctor because he was unwell. They discovered he had a blood pressure of 169/100 and a blood sugar reading of 30.3. The Doctor sent him for a blood test the next day with results due back 3 days after. My concern is that with the symptons my friend had he should have been refered to hospital for immediate tests and treatment. Do you think i am overeacting as he has to wait for four days without any intervention. The blood pressure and blood sugar in my opinion can lead to a heart attack, stroke or renal failure at any time. Please tell me if i am wrong. moreResolved Question: is there a disability program for Agorophobia? Like a government program?
My mother is an Agorophobic with panic anxiety. She can't walk across the street without me, so when she needs groceries I have to be right next to her or she goes into a panicked state. Thinks she's going to drop dead or have a stroke. My parents are doing pretty bad. My dad's business isn't as fruitful as it used to be. Is there any way my mom can get a form of aid? Shes on meds to keep her depression at bay, and there's no way she can push through treatment for her disorder. She's 52. She can't get a job to help out with the finances. Does she have other options??Well, she was properly diagnosed. She didn't just decide one day. She's suffered with those for over 30 years. her last job was at a shoestore when she was 14. She also can't drive and hasn't been behind a wheel since she 14. Lawyers!! argh. I'll bring it up to my pops. I just sure hope it pays offThanks for the tips. I'll let my pop pop know. See what he says. And everyone has a different life with different struggles. It's ignorant and selfish to say someone doesn't "deserve" to feel a certain way. My cat and her 5 kittens have fleas. I got some flea treatment from the vet for the mother that won't harm her babies (I repeated the question "Will it hurt the kittens?" in six different ways just to be sure, my vet must think I'm nuts), and everything I've read said I should bathe the kittens. They're only 2 days old, and I'm worried about even combing them with water, in case their mother objects. She's been fine with me being around them so far, and doesn't object to the odd stroke here and there, but I don't want to pick them up or handle them any more than is absolutely necessary. Basically, is there a risk of her rejecting them if I do have to handle them to clean the fleas off and how should I go about doing so? moreResolved Question: What a MAN should do if -?

I have been diagnosed with bulimia since I was 13. It is becoming an issue since my blood pressure is rising to stroke levels every time I purge. Not to mention that I have an ulcer on my throat. I really really need help with this. moreResolved Question: Did I do the right thing?
My cat woke me up early Tuesday morning. She had poo all over her and she could not pick up her hind legs nor move her tail. Her legs an tail were cold to the touch and she was yowling and desperately meowing in pain. I took her to the emergency vet, where he explained to me that she had a stroke in her hind legs. He called it saddle thrombus. She had an underlying heart condition which made her heart pump inadequately causing a clot to form and then it traveled down her aorta to the legs where the aorta splits and goes down each leg. Where the split is, the clot got stuck, paralyzing her and making her loose all her control of her bowels and blocked all the circulation to the back part of her body and she started to get fluid to build up on her lungs and could not breathe well. The Dr. said treatment is lengthy and she may never get full recovery of her legs. The heart problem would continue to get worse and she would probably be dead within a year if she survived this. I opted to have her put down. It KILLED ME!! I have never had to put down a animal that I loved so much. Now I am second guessing myself ( I know it is a little late now) but I am just wondering if I did the right thing. I didn't want her to go through life being miserable and not having the quality of life she once had. But I cant help to think...what if she could have pulled through? Would 2-3 weeks of treatment and going to doctor to doctor and being put on numerous meds meant maybe she would be in the 30-40% that she could have lived for a while longer? I loved Chloe so much. She was so precious to me. She was only 1 1/2 years old. I had her from a 6 week old kitten, just weaned off of her mom. She was a beautiful snowshoe Siamese.Thank you guys for being supportive. It has been bothering me ever since it happened. There has not been a day that goes by that it don't tear my heart out. Especially when I come in this lonely house and she isn't here. She was my baby girl. She followed me everywhere I went in the house. She was right beside me. I know for a fact she loved me with all of her heart, and I did her. I think that is why she woke me up. I think the incident happened in the living room because I saw her feces there and I had to clean it up. She dragged herself to my bedroom, which is a good 10 feet away from the living room, just to wake me up...May 18th will always be a hard day for me in years to come. moreResolved Question: How can I kick my sister out of my Mom's house in Texas?
My mother had a stroke two years ago. My wife, daughter, and I were living there for about two weeks before her stroke because we moved out of the house we were living in abruptly and needed somewhere to stay temporarily. A few weeks after my mom's stroke, my older sister (45 yrs) wanted to move in the house. She had been wanting to live there for a while but my mom wouldn't let her come live with her for various reasons. She had lived with her before but moved out so she could have privacy with her husband. So now, I'm not able to buy a house and I want to live at my mom's house so I can save to buy my own house. I would actually like to live there and make the house a home for my wife and daughter. I wouldn't have moved out if my sister wouldn't have brought her dog and cat over to my mom's house. My daughter has sever allergies to cats and dogs. She actually developed asthma symptoms while we were living there with my sister for the six month time period. My sister also didn't get along with my wife and they would argue and maintain a constant level of tension keeping me in the middle. My sister has a drinking problem and has friends over that are ex cons or crack heads or former crack heads and I didn't want them around my family. So we moved out and my sister got rid of most of my mom's furniture and other belongings, and put a lot of her personal pictures etc in the attic for storage. She basically moved her stuff in and made the house her own. She pays on the loan and taxes, which is only about 30k on a 300k property that my family had purchased back in the 60s. Once that loan is paid off, the house will be own free and clear except for the debt for my mother’s care. My mom is currently living in a nursing home using Medicare and Medicaid. Texas has a program where they can reclaim the cost of Medicaid expenses when my mother dies. There are some exceptions such as an unmarried child living at the home. My sister is legally married, but separated from her husband. Her husband left her for another woman that he got pregnant. She is staying on his insurance because she has had two episodes of lymphoma and needed chemotherapy treatments. So I'm in a situation where my sister doesn't want me to live with her because of my wife and I don't want to live with her because of her life style and we both want to live at my mom's house because it is low cost living in a nice place. What can I do? moreResolved Question: advice on alternative cancer medicines needed please?
Hi Wendy here (using my daughters account, cant remember my password) Some of you may have read my previous posts. My dad had lung cancer year half ago, he had his whole lung, 14 lymph nodes, an a vocal cord removed. he then had 20 sessions of radiation, we were told he was one of the luck ones that they caught in time. The end of march we thought he had had a stroke and took him to the hospital to be told that the cancer (non small cell) had spread to his brain and that there was nothing that could be done. They gave him 6-8 weeks. He was given 10 session of radiation which has cleared all the swelling on the brain. They now say he might have a bit longer than initially thought. We have been looking into alternative medication as they will not give him any more treatment. we have been recommended to try the following list. My question is, has anyone used these or known anyone who has, or knows anything about them, ie do they work, is it companies trying to get money out of sick people, etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Tachyon Minerals Genista GlycoUltra Custom elixir SBT PRP Immune modulator combo 1 Respiratory supporti know some people may think what have you to lose, but i found the following information that is worrying me: Brain cancer is one of the trickiest types of cancer for alternative medicine to treat. While it is easy to kill the cancer cells in a brain cancer patient (many alternative cancer treatments easily penetrate the blood-brain barrier), it is not easy to safely kill the cancer cells. The problem is that the debris from dead cancer cells can be very difficult to safely remove from the brain. Other problems are inflammation and swelling. Before a cancer cell dies it gets sick. The problem is that once the cancer cell gets sick the immune system recognizes the cell as being sick and attacks it and this causes inflammation and swelling. This is not good to happen inside the skull. Swelling or pressure can cause your heart rate to drop, perhaps leading to instant death.Thank you Denisedd, you have pointed out to me before in a previous post that he did not have brain cancer, that is why i have put in this post about his lung also, but the thing is, the cancer was removed along with his lung and the only place he has a cancer now is in the brain, this is what is killing him and what we are trying to beat, not his lung. We have asked he in the UK about any trials but there are none, this is why we are now looking overseas, we are willing to pay for medication and all i was asking is has anyone has any knowledge that could help save my dads life (which i know is unlikely) but even get him some more time. moreResolved Question: Please can anyone give advice on a painful hip?
I am a 20 year old female. A little while ago, I started to develop a really painful hip (after developing lower back pain). Nothing in the way of trauma that I can remember has caused this, but I am stuck on what to do next. I enjoy many sports, including ballet, modern and tap dancing and find that it hurts most during ballet, especially in a developpe a la seconde on that particular side (the left). For those who do not know, this is where the leg will be drawn up the side and unfolded and held out. When I do this at the front I get a deep sort of 'clicking' in my hip flexor area (almost like a tendon/ligament is pinging over something), whilst at the side it is a much different and a much more intense pain right inside the joint, which is sharp and feels like I could get 'stuck'. I cannot do this very high at all anymore, making my foot not too much higher off the ground. On the right side I am able to hold the leg at about 110 degrees, and I am also very strong in my legs and core muscles, as well as flexible. I have been to see my GP, a chiropractor, physiotherapist, rheumatologist, and perhaps more, as well as having x-rays, an MRI and acupuncture, shiatsu and ultrasound treatment. Nothing has showed up on any scans (although I think they only scanned my lower back in the MRI), but the pain is getting worse and really getting me down. Anyone on the NHS has seemed to just fob me off and say there's nothing wrong, especially as I think they find it hard to understand as I am still quite flexible (I can do the front splits and am not really far off from the side splits). What they don't understand is how much flexibility I have actually lost. I am in pain at nights - I cannot lay on my back without getting stuck there due to sharp back pains, and I cannot lay on my left side due to the hip having a constant dull ache, which is also there throughout most of the day, especially when sitting for long periods of time in lectures. I have also had occasional bouts of sciatica. My chiropractor is the only one who's really trying hard to help me, and has done for a while now, although she is still unsure as to what it could be. I have changed mattresses, pillows and shoes, as well as having arch supports in my shoes, which are the only thing which can help ease the pain a little, however not very much and over a very long period of time. It is also difficult to find a pair of shoes to fit these into, especially with summer coming! I also go to karate (I started this after the pain began), yoga; pilates; legs, bums and tums (LBT), aerobics and aqua-aerobics. If I go swimming, it also hurts the hip to do breast-stroke. Just one more thing - if anyone is to say that I should stop the exercise and rest it, please understand that I injured my knee (on the other leg) quite badly in a sprinting accident two years ago. I did not do any sport for 4-6months afterwards and the pain in my hip and back did not go. If anything, it may have got slightly worse. Also, at the beginning of January this year, I broke my toe and then had an operation (on something unrelated) and so have only recently been getting back into things again. Once again though, the pain did not leave. So please, after all this, can somebody help with any suggestions or conditions or anything?! Thank you for even reading this far :)Thank you everyone for your help and suggestions. If there's anything else anyone out there can recommend I shall still be grateful, and as for what I've already been given, I feel bad to just give one answer as the 'best' as a few are as good as each other. So thank you all. Hope you all get to read this bit :) moreResolved Question: a few fitness/health questions?

He is a 10 year old cockapoo that went mostly blind about 8 months ago. The other day he started to wobble and seem unbalanced. By later that day he was unable to use his front legs. I took him to the vet and the xrays were negative. The Vet said it is unusual for a dog to lose just the front legs like this. All other functions seem just fine and she ruled out a stroke. She said that he may have some type of infection but didn't give any treatment, just recommending time and rest. My poor dog doesn't seem to be in any pain, he just lays there. Does anyone have any experience with this? Is it possible that it will just "go away?" Surgery is not an option due to budget constraints. Please help moreResolved Question: any fruitarians around?
A friend sent this to me ~ Pretty Interesting! Eating Fruit - this opened my eyes. Dr Stephen Mak is a friend of mine at the BSF course. He treats terminal ill cancer patients by "un-orthodox" way and many patients recovered. He explains to me before he is using solar energy to clear the illnesses of his patients. He believes on natural healing in the body against illnesses. See the article below. Thanks for the email on fruits and juices. It is one of the strategies to heal cancer. As of late, my success rate in curing cancer is about 80%. Cancer patients shouldn't die. The cure for cancer is already found. It is whether you believe it or not. I am sorry for the hundreds of cancer patients who die under the conventional treatments. Thanks and God bless. Dr Stephen Mak EATING FRUIT... We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths. It's not as easy as you think. It's important to know how and when to eat. What is the correct way of eating fruits? IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS! * FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH. If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities. FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD. Let's say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so. In the meantime the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil.... So please eat your fruits on an empty stomach or before your meals! You have heard people complaining — every time I eat watermelon I burp, when I eat durian my stomach bloats up, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet, etc — actually all this will not arise if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach. The fruit mixes with the putrefying other food and produces gas and hence you will bloat! Graying hair, balding, nervous outburst, and dark circles under the eyes all these will NOT happen if you take fruits on an empty stomach. There is no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruits become alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter. If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruits, you have the Secret of beauty, longevity, health, energy, happiness and normal weight. When you need to drink fruit juice - drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT from the cans. Don't even drink juice that has been heated up. Don't eat cooked fruits because you don't get the nutrients at all. You only get to taste. Cooking destroys all the vitamins. But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice. If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it. You can go on a 3-day fruit fast to cleanse your body. Just eat fruits and drink fruit juice throughout the 3 days and you will be surprised when your friends tell you how radiant you look! KIWI: Tiny but mighty. This is a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E & fiber. Its vitamin C content is twice that of an orange. APPLE: An apple a day keeps the doctor away? Although an apple has a low vitamin C content, it has antioxidants & flavonoids which enhances the activity of vitamin C thereby helping to lower the risks of colon cancer, heart attack & stroke. STRAWBERRY: Protective Fruit. Strawberries have the highest total antioxidant power among major fruits & protect the body from cancer-causing, blood vessel-clogging free radicals. ORANGE : Sweetest medicine. Taking 2-4 oranges a day may help keep colds away, lower cholesterol, prevent & dissolve kidney stones as well as lessens the risk of colon cancer. WATERMELON: Coolest thirst quencher. Composed of 92% water, it is also packed with a giant dose of glutathione, which helps boost our immune system. They are the clear winners for their high vitamin C content.. Guava is also rich in fiber, which helps prevent constipation. Papaya is rich in carotene; this is good for your eyes. Drinking Cold water after a meal = Cancer! Can u believe this?? For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. My father ask the administration to change the IM doctor from the case. The administration didn't do anything, so he's stuck with the bad IM doctor. He cannot leave the hospital because he's having a treatment and he wants to continue with the neurologist treatment. My question is, can a patient ask a change of doctor while hospitalized? moreResolved Question: Should i just leave this job...and is this horrible treatment?
I utterly detest my job. Not so much the work itself but the sheer sexist pigs and ignormamuses i work with. But i have to stick it...purely for money. I'm a 32yr old female. I work with 4 guys. At the moment both my parents are ill in hospital 100 miles away. I want to be with them. My mum is in a psychriatic unit and my dad had a suspected stroke. They know my situation in the office. So far, not one of my colleagues have enquired about my parents. I'm worried sick about thenm both and want to go home but i've amost used all of my holidays so far this year with docs and hosptial appointments for me and my parents. I'm thinking of getting a sick cert from my doc for two weeks and having a breather and telling these to swivel if i can afford it after i'v had a think. Am i being airy fairy? moreResolved Question: My sunday school teacher gives me 'special treatment'?
Okay, I'm the only girl in my sunday school class, with about 5 other boys and around the same age as me (14). My sunday school teacher is about 53 or so. He gives me special treatment and I feel he's perverting on me. He put his hand on my leg, he pretends to kiss my hand, he strokes me cheek and ALWAYS asks me if I have a boyfriend. Please help, I don't want to say anything because I'm good friends with his daughter, who is about 23, it would offend her so much. Please Please help me. :(Thanks everyone. I told my mum and she is concerned, but she also is doubting that maybe because im the only girl, he's just trying to be funny. I though of that too, I really don't know what to do. The people in my class notice the treatment he gives me aswell moreResolved Question: I have EXTREME Anxiety/PTSD and Panic Disorder with Mild Depression... What is my doctor going to give me?
I have suffered for years, but have refused treatments. I don't know if I really refused any treatment, I just tried to control it myself. My childhood was horrible and I was abused and then I was in a nearly fatal auto accident that broke my spine. I just recently started seeing a therapist and she told me that she would HAVE to put me on medication to control my panic episodes and my loss of sleep. I have been on Risperdal, Zoloft, and Zyprexa in the past and nothing worked. My panic attacks are so bad that I've even called 911 thinking I was having a heart attack or stroke... and I'm too young for that (hopefully)... If those medications don't work, what do they give you? Is there anything that can actually help calm you down and make you feel like you are NOT dying? I have tried herbal remedies, hot baths, exercise, drowning myself in lavender oils, etc... and she says that self medicating is not really good for me... I'm just worried she's going to give me something I will be hooked on forever. The only thing that helps me sleep sometimes is drinking wine, and I get HORRIBLE hangovers and it just makes me feel worse and keep having more panic attacks... A chilling breeze grazed Kyle Stentson's body, cooling the tears on his cheeks. At age 25, he was fit and young. But in only a few days, this healthy image was now hidden beneath pale skin and frail body. His blue eyes were swollen and red at the rims. He sniffed, wiping his face once again with the sleeve of his shirt. His chest heaved and convulsions took over his chest; he didn't try to stop them. "Oh God! Why?" He called out. Giving way to his last bit of strength, he knelt, placing his fingers across the engravings of a bluish-gray gravestone. "Why would you take her from me?" His voice broke off and a single tear fell with a slight splash onto the rock of the grave. He didn't know why, but this moved him; causing a moment of regret mixed with overpowering emotion. Why was he blaming this on God? He should know there's a purpose for everything, God had everything planned out. He traced his finger across the embedded letters: Lauren Nicole Stentson Footsteps rustled the grass behind him. He ran his hand down the surface, catching his fingernail in one of the grooves. When the crunching of leaves stopped, a hand caressed his back and moved to his shoulder. Savannah. She knelt beside him, grabbing his hand. He put one arm around her waist and returned her grasp. It had been four days since their daughter's death. But days felt more like years; stretching out into lengthy hours of staring hopelessly at blank walls, night skies, and picture frames filled with bittersweet memories. Depression wrapped the couple in it's gloom, tears pressuring their eyes throughout the long hours of the day. Phone calls from different relatives only made the passing of time more stressful. Lauren was only four when she died from rapid-spreading leukemia. Thoughts of her pushed Kyle farther and farther away from his relationships; especially with his wife, Savannah. They were a blooming couple and he admired her deeply. But before Lauren's death, he seemed caught up in a work schedule, unable to take care of her or Savannah. He truly cared for the both of them, but his job just couldn't hold out and he was let go. He couldn't pay for her treatment, couldn't pay the bills, but could only watch his daughter slowly deteriorate, lying weekly in a hospital bed with her thin brown hair spread across her shoulders. The image rushed in front of him, he could almost look into her blue eyes and feel the warmth of her hand. He reached out and touched her cheek. "You're going to be fine." He had said so many times. But the guilt of these words filled his chest; he knew it was a lie. "Daddy, am I going to die?" Her voice echoed sweetly in his ears, tears blurred his vision. "No, darlin', you're just si- " The sound of his voice was interrupted and the grieving image swept away. His memory fogged, and reality took it's place back in front of him. The smooth cheek he was touching diminished, replaced by the cold rock of the grave. "Babe, are you okay?" Savannah's soft voice bathed his ears. He shook his head, "Sorry...I-I was-- " His voice broke off. He turned and met her eyes which were glistening too, her make up smeared. He reached and stroked her hair, pulling the back of her head to his chest. She cried on his neck, tears soaking his skin. The embrace only lasted a few minutes, then she pulled away from him. "It's not your fault." She whispered. "You tried your best-- Kyle look at me." He looked at her for a moment but averted his eyes again to the grave at his knees. She sighed and continued, "I loved her, with all my heart. And I'm. . . crushed that God has taken her away from us. But Kyle, we have to go on!" Her voice turned into a whisper, "I can't live with you like this. Please come home." She sobbed openly. Suddenly, she pulled her hand from his and stood up. "I'll be in the car." She leaned down and brushed the grave with her fingers, then with a quick kiss, she left him. But this was his fault. He couldn't keep his job, he couldn't make the money for his daughter's treatment, and his sloppiness had cost his daughter's life. He just couldn't stand the thought. He just knew he could have done something different, something better, why hadn't he done anything? He rose, still staring at the grave's words, then turned away. He left his thoughts behind, and walked blankly to the car. He hopped in and revved the engine. Feeling Savannah's eyes on him, he turned to her. When their eyes met, he felt his phone vibrate and took it from his pocket. It was a text from BeBen, one of his best friends, and an amazing pilot. Hey Kyle, I'm really sorry to hear about Lauren. I will be praying for you and I hope you're okay. I understand if you don't want to go, but I had a spot to go on this cruise, but I have a work overload and can't make it. There is only one spot but I can't find anyone to take it, so I thought I'd run it by you. I understand completely if you don't want to leave Sav. If you can't go, do you know of anyone that could? Thanks Buddy. This was perfect, it was all he wanted to do right now. Take a break from everything and it was something to keep Lauren from haunting him. But he didn't want to leave Savannah here all alone. Could he possibly buy her a spot too? No, there was no way he could afford it. He knew he had to show her and maybe run it by her. He held out his phone with a weak hand, she took it and squinted at it's screen. As she scanned it, her face grew solemn. She looked at him and searched his eyes, her complexion the most sserious he had ever seen it. She grabbed his hand and squeezed tightly. Facing forward, she took a deep breath and closed her eyes. "Kyle, I want you to go on this cruise." She opened her eyes and turned to him. His heart jumped and he gave her a surprised look. "Buy why? I would totally stay here with you." "Because, you need this. You need to get out and take a break from things, including me." "No way, you want me to leave you? Especially after. . . Lauren-- I can't leave you!" "Kyle, you need this. It's better for you to leave then stay with me. Staying with me isn't going to make you feel better. I think if you go, you can have a few days to think about things. You know I can't go, I get seasick. I want you to go, please!" "Okay! I just can't believe you want me to. . . " He then faced ahead and cleared his mind. Switching gears, he accelerated, and everything fell silent, except the gravel popping underneath the tires. As they drove home, his thoughts were mimingled; should he go, or stay and take care of Savannah? He knew the answer, it would be so selfish to leave her. But she seemed so serious, she truly wanted him to go. She could see his devastation and thought it would be good for him. Was she right? ___________ When they pulled up in their driveway, Kyle jumped out of the car. Spinning the key-chain's loop in his fingers he reached the door and unlocked it. He could hear Savannah close her door and trail behind him. "Kyle!" She called, but he ignored her and went inside. Heading straight to his room, he started packing; throwing numerous clothes in suitcase and gathering bathroom items in a duffel bag. Savannah watched, put her hand on her hips, then blurted, "Kyle, talk to me! If you don't want to go you don't have to. I seriously just thought it might help you. . . recover." He looked at her then shook his head and continued throwing clothes in the suitcase."Kyle, don't do this to me! Tell me what you're thinking!" He stopped what he was doing and rushed over to hug her. "I'm sorry. I just can't believe I'm leaving you." But deep down he knew it was more than that. He couldn't understand why she wanted him to leave. "And I wish you wanted me to stay with you." "I do. I love you, but I know what's best for you right now." She pulled away from him, and smiled. "I can see through you, Kyle. You want to go." He smiled back. "Okay, Savannah," he gave in, "you are so stubborn." "And if it makes you feel better, I'll go stay with Rani for the week. How's that sound?" "Better." He pulled her close, at least she'd be in the care of her best friend, who could probably provide better moral support than he could. "Want to help me finish packing? I'm going to call Ben and get an update on where I need to be, when." This should be fun. And he could have plenty of time to sort out his thoughts and find his place. Maybe he would even meet someonethat could help him get a job. It had to be a good idea. What he didn't know was that this trip could change his life forever. moreVoting Question: Speech therapy question?

Consider all the life-threatening medical conditions/diseases/illnesses/injuries out there and then consider how many an individual could survive if (and only if) modern medical care played a roll in the diagnoses/treatment/cure/recovery. I'm sure that if it wasn't for medical intervention, a lot of people would be dead now, many so in their childhood. I would be. If I hadn't have died in my childhood from infections (that I was given antibiotics for) or from those diseases I was vaccinated against, I would have eventually died last year from blood loss. Anybody who has ever had their appendix removed, would surely be dead, as without surgery, the appendix can burst and cause serious infection which will eventually kill. Anybody who has ever had a heart attack or a stroke is likely to be dead too.Actually I doubt I'd even be around because both my parents have had medical problems before I was born that would have killed them has they not had medical treatment. If they're dead before I'm born, I can't even exist. moreVoting Question: Why do we argue every time we talk?

My dad is 89 and has a swallowing problem due to some mini strokes and dementia. He recently suffered a bout with pnemonia but got cured of it. I went in for a peg tube replacement after some nurse came in an untied dads temp restraints she began wiping dads area where it was protruding, dad woke up flinched from the pain looked saw her and reached for the area she was wiping. I say he may have been confused thinking someone was hurting him. Anyway, now because he has had 1 tube prior and pulled it out. the doctors are refusing to put back in.
